The Half Dozen: Croissant, Conchita, Muffin, Strudel, Biscotti & Eclair have had a rough go of gaining weight and fighting off parasites. But theyโ€™ve had a village behind them the whole way. ๐Ÿพ

VEG ER for Pets East Side Animal Hospital | Veterinarian | CLT and Rea Road Animal Hospital gave them urgent, top-notch care every step. Our Foster Coordinator Lindsay Biggers and Medical Liaison Alex Kastanas Holladay kept everyone on track. Foster anna jumped at the chance to learn how to give fluids at home and Dr. McShane at ESAH taught her herself โ€” which means more comfort for the kittens AND more funds freed up to help the next cats in program.

Meanwhile Cabarrus Spay & Neuter clinic caught Ma Bakerโ€™s mastitis during her spay and got her on antibiotics before it became a bigger problem.

And through all of it, seasoned foster Madison was there as an ear for Anna while other fosters and leaders were away, because sometimes the village is just someone who picks up the phone.

And because this village runs on more than just medicine โ€” Anna sent home treats after a hard week: airheads for foster Marci Duniec and a lick treat with a handwritten note tied in ribbon for Ma Baker. ๐ŸŽ€ The little things matter too.
