“Penelope has really come a long way. She has been making friends and loving play time at day care. She enjoys her bones, her puppy cousin, her kitty brothers, cuddles, and treats. She is weighing in at 55lbs and is full of stubbornness. She is thriving and I couldn’t be happier for her. She recently had her first birthday and we celebrated accordingly. Party hats and all. She even got a new necklace with her name on it.”

She’s spent a lot of time playing with her big sister Magnolia and destroying every toy she had (and then some). As Juniper became more comfortable her personality really started to shine—she’s really quite a goofball. At 5 years old, this striking Australian Shepherd mix is equal parts heartthrob and gentleman. With his head-turning good looks and calm, confident presence, Scout has mastered the art of being effortlessly cool.

Scout is a people-lover through and through. He’s happy to greet new friends, soak up attention, and then settle right back into his easygoing groove. Today’s Where’s That Dog spotlight is: Sunny!

A little bit from Sunny’s owner:
“Sunny is about 5 months old now, and his favorite thing to do is play and snuggle with his 5 year old sister, Charlie. Other hobbies include trying to eat the hose water before it disappears, playing with the 4 year old human neighbor, eating like a maniac, and hopping around the house, earning the name “Sunny Bunny”. He dislikes any machines that clean (indoor or outdoor), baths, and long car rides. He lost his first baby tooth the other day, and is weighing in at about 30 lbs. My little boy is becoming a not so little man. Charlie and I are so happy we have him in our lives, even if he likes to take her favorite tennis ball.”

Today's Where's That Dog spotlight is: Storm, formerly known as Ember!

A little bit from Storm's owners:
"Hello YBR! Storm is thriving! She has been a part of the family for 8 months now. Storm celebrated her 1st birthday on March 12th. She is about 50lb and she is wide open! :) She really enjoys car rides and playing endlessly with her 2-yr old fur sister Layla . She loves playing fetch and tug of war with her nerf duckie. Her and Layla love to chase each other around the backyard! Storm loves play dates with our friends' dogs as well as meeting new people while on walks or at a brewery. Daddy taught her to fetch, stay, release, and paw; he's such a proud dad! She still is a total snuggle bug and loves herself a good nap with a massage and one of mommy's comfy blankets. Shawn and I fell in love with her sweet little face the moment we saw her at Hopfly and couldn't have asked for a better puppy. Thank you to our foster family who had her beforehand as they let her settle in and let her know she was safe. We love YBR, thank you!"

Welcome to our new series WTDW (Where's That Dog Wednesday)! We will be featuring our pups that have been adopted and placed in their forever homes. Read about updates and see what your life could look like when you adopt! 

Today's doggy spotlight is: Cooper, formerly known as Sprout!
He came to us last spring in a litter of puppies that had a hard start to life.

A little bit from Cooper's owner:
"Cooper (fka Sprout) is living his best life with his family in South Carolina. He loves playing with his dog brother Smokey. His dad even built him a larger fenced yard for him to run around and play in. When he's not running around with Smokey he's going on walks around the block, riding in the golf cart. Cooper had his first birthday in December and has been with his family for 10 months. He is loving his new life."
