Still recovering from Saturday.

Thank you to everyone who came out to Seaboard. Full patio, a lot of belly rubs, and plenty of people sitting right down on the ground to win over the nervous ones. That's exactly the kind of day these dogs need.

Seaboard Brewing - Taproom - Wine Bar, thank you for having us again, and for putting a dollar from every pour toward the rescue. Not every place says yes to a pack of rescue dogs on the patio and then helps cover their care too. You make it easy every time.

Our volunteers did the real work: crates, water bowls, leashes, and walking every dog around so people could meet them. We can't run these without you.

The dogs are at Seaboard today!

You met the ladies, the fellas, and the puppies this week, and every one of them is here today, along with a few more you haven't met yet, Gizmo included, who only just landed with us. Scroll through, then come say hello in person.

Big ones, little ones, a couple who'll talk your ear off, and one who'll just lean on you until you melt. Their names are right on their photos, so if one of them catches your eye, you'll know exactly who to ask about.

We're Seaboard Brewing - Taproom - Wine Bar today from 10:30 to 1:30. Come hang out, meet the dogs, and grab a beer while you're at it. Seaboard's chipping in a dollar for every pint they pour, and there's merch too, so even a lazy afternoon on the patio helps these dogs find their people.

It wouldn't be an adoption event without puppies. We don't make the rules.

Tomorrow we're bringing four of our littlest to Seaboard, and fair warning, that's a lot of cute for one taproom.

🐾 Poppy, Ryder, and Roxy are all 9-week-old lab mixes, currently running on the big-paws, no-brakes puppy setting.
🐾 Dolly is our 8-week-old terrier mix, basically a cotton ball who just found out she has legs.

All four are ready for adoption and taking applications for someone to spoil them rotten.

Come meet them tomorrow at Brewing - Taproom - Wine Bar, Saturday from 10:30 to 1:30. Stay for a beer while you're at it. Seaboard's giving a dollar from every pint back to the rescue, and the Seaboard x SPCA merch is out if you want to do a little more.

🎶 And now... the story of three handsome fellas. 🎶

You met the ladies. Meet the boys.

Oliver, Bruce, and Sampson are three of the pups joining us at the Seaboard Brewing - Taproom - Wine Bar adoption event on Saturday, August 29. They won't be the only ones there, but they're a good place to start.

🖤 Oliver, the little scruff with the white chest and one ear that will not lie flat no matter what. He looks at you like you hung the moon.
🤎 Bruce, the hound mix with the tan patch over one eye. That head tilt? He knows exactly what it does to you.
🐻 Sampson, the big fluffy one who found a pool and decided it was his. Tongue out, not a care in the world.

Any of the three would happily take the foot of your bed. Or the whole bed.

Happy National Dog Day! 🐾

76 dogs have found their families so far this year. Here are some of the faces behind that number.

That's one every three days, all of them through foster homes, because we don't have a building or paid staff. Just volunteers who keep saying yes and a community that backs them up.

Every adoption in this video started with someone deciding to open their home, and ended with the right family walking out with a new best friend. The part in between, the vet care, the spay and neuter, the meds and the food, is the part your donations cover. It adds up faster than you'd think, and it's the reason we can keep taking the next one in.

🎶 Here's the story... of three lovely ladies. 🎶

Meet Heidi, Jackie, and Layla, the first three pups confirmed for our adoption event at on Saturday, August 29.

🌸 Heidi, the one in the floral bandana. Fresh from the groomer, a little shy, and already eyeing your lap.
🐾 Jackie, all ears and curiosity. She'll clock you from across the taproom.
✨ Layla, the little Yorkie with the big grin and an even bigger opinion of herself.

They're all looking for their people, and they'd love for that to be you.

These three aren't the only ones who'll be there, either. We've got more of the crew to introduce over the next couple of days, so keep checking back to see who else makes the guest list.

🐾 Fall in Love Friday 🐾Meet Banter.

Banter is a six-year-old albino Doberman, and he only landed in foster yesterday. In the shelter he was scared out of his mind. Then he got to his foster's house, took a breath, calmed down, and started coming out of his shell.

He's a sweet, affectionate velcro boy. He's living with other dogs and getting along great, and he's good with the kids in the home too. He also walks beautifully on a leash, and he's up to date on his vaccines and neutered.

Banter will be ready for adoption soon, and applications are open now so you can be lined up when he is. We don't do first come, first served. We take the time to match the right dog with the right home, so if he sounds like your kind of guy, tell us about yourself.

TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY: Brooks

Start at the last photo, then swipe back to the first. Hard to believe it's the same dog.

Brooks came in as a stray, matted and smelly and loaded with worms, the kind of shape that hides what a dog actually looks like.

A bath, a good haircut, and treatment to clear out the worms later, here he is. He's a schnauzer mix, 2 to 3 years old, soon-to-be neutered and up to date on his shots. Turns out under all that matting was a total love bug, a velcro pup with a floppy ear who wants to be wherever you are. He's easy with other dogs and soaks up attention from anyone willing to give it.

Our golden retriever litter, the crew we've been calling Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, is officially all adopted. Every last one has a home. 🎉

The response to these pups blew us away. Hundreds of you applied to foster or adopt, and we want to thank every single person who took the time to fill one out.

Now the honest part. We're 100% volunteer. No office, no paid staff, no big team behind the scenes. So we couldn't write back to every application that came in, even though we wanted to. If you applied for one of the goldens and never heard from us, it wasn't a no about you. Those pups are all placed now, but we still have your application. If you're open to a different dog, just tell us you're still looking and we'll take it from there.

And we've got plenty more dogs who need you. More arrive all the time, every shape and size and personality, and one of them might be your dog. Follow us to meet who's next.
