We will never know the reason why our phone was destroyed like this, but it was found and that’s what matters. We located it at Harris Teeter in Plaza. Midwood with the front smashed and shoved into a pipe on the building. We are going to be getting it fixed so please be patient with us while we go about this. I know that we will be missing text calls and surrenders, but we are going to be hurrying and doing our best to catch up and operational again.

It looks rough right now but the vision is there and it’s coming together piece by piece! 3/4 of the frame done (most not pictured!) Now only cement, paint and hardware cloth after that… then time to do water feature and decorate! This has been long days and evenings of digging the trenches to sit the bases in so that we can do a thick concrete barrier so no predators dig in and our naughty box turtles do not dig out! It’s taking a lot longer to do than we would like but at the end of the day you never skimp on security! We would rather it take twice as long to make sure our babes are safe and sound. This project is a diamond in the rough but stay tuned to see how this turns out!!!

When all three torts go “missing” and we assumed they were up to no good.. not this time. Just having a family nap time I suppose! We are so happy that Ruth has integrated so well with Dorian and Tony ( both females). It brings joy to our hearts seeing her use the yard. Dorian is a huge part of her progress. She sees the “ big guy” doing his thing and wants to do the same. Ruth is even grazing on grass some now! This may seem like a normal tort thing (bc it is!) but it isn’t for her. She may be 11 years old and 80 pounds but she is still learning this to be a normal and happy tortoise!

WISHLIST WEDNESDAY!! This weather has all the babes awake and wanting more outside time!!! This months goal is to get our two box turtles into new outdoor enclosures Full time(mostly)! In order for us to do that we have set aside a large area to turn into two spaces for them! As most of you know box turtles are quite the diggers and can easily escape enclosures if not done right! As a precaution we are adding these to the interior of the enclosures fencing to help avoid any turtles on the lam! If you want to help get Harvey and Myrtle outside we have added this product to our Amazon wishlist! We are hoping to get three! As always if you are not in a position to donate please don’t, we appreciate the love and support you give us with a like or share !

This sweet girl is here with us for some rehabbing and TLC- she has lost a lot of mobility in her back legs as well as physical injuries that are unknown… we are doing what we can for this babe.. Although not feeling well and in a strange place this babe is still so sweet and pleasant.. please keep her in your thoughts and send her positive vibes and words of encouragement! She needs it!

I’d pay copious amounts of money to rent space in grandpas head. This is the happiest turtle all the time and it’s impossible not to smile when you look at her silly little face
