It’s Arthritis Awareness Month! 🦴
Osteoarthritis in pets is a common, chronic, and progressive degenerative joint disease affecting both dogs and cats, causing pain, inflammation, and reduced mobility. It involves the breakdown of cartilage, leading to bone rubbing. It’s not always our older pets that are affected by this, young pets can be too. That’s why starting them on Omega-3 fatty acids early is recommended. Omega -3 fatty acids commonly sourced from fish oil (EPA and DHA), act as vital, anti-inflammatory nutrients for pets, supporting joint health, reducing skin allergies, and promoting a shiny coat.

Clients of North Kenny, we would like to give you a heads up on our hours for Tuesday April 21st. We will be open from 8am-4pm. We will be closing early so that our staff can meet with a grief counselor and process the tragic loss we’ve experienced this past weekend. We appreciate your understanding during this time and the outpouring of love, kind words & patience.

We want to wish a happy birthday to our second clinic cat, Fred. You will usually find him in the back making sure no snack is unprotected (usually cheese in some form), patients looked after, taking a nap and keeping the microchip reader warm. He’s our precious king, not one to hang out up front. If he does make an appearance it probably means you’re on the good list 😉

With deep sadness we are heartbroken to announce the passing of Dr. Soposki. As the news continues to surface of the devastating accident on 71 that took a beautiful family far too soon, please be patient with our clinic while we mourn an incredible colleague.

Dr. Lynnea Soposki was an outstanding Veterinarian. One that our clinic has worked closely with and had the privilege of getting to know. She always showed up with a smile and a willingness to help. Her kind heart helped put clients to ease and her love for each patient shined within each appointment. She was not only an amazing doctor, but a wife and a mother, who adored her family.

We can’t put into words how deeply heartbroken we all are. Not only for the loss of a friend & colleague, but her husband and beautiful son as well.

Please keep Dr. Soposki’s family, friends and many other colleagues in your thoughts.

If you’ve been in our clinic, you’ve more than likely noticed a special guest up at the front desk. The head of the clinic, the one who keeps us in line and on our toes. She’s quirky, she’s cuddly and she’s one sassy lady. She enjoys spending her days lying in x-ray, on boxes, maybe even inside one of our patients carriers. She enjoys running a tight shift up front, hunting for someone else’s food she can steal and keeping an eye on our patients.
Today is her special day. Happy birthday Kate! Our clinic wouldn’t be the same without you. Your staff and all your guests love and adore you ❤️🐾🎉🥳
