ADOPTABLE CAT!

That's right folks, we have another cat looking for a home.

Meet Meow Meow!

Meow Meow is a 3 and a half year old neutered boy, and as you can see, he's very orange. His orange-ness manifests itself as curiosity, bird watching, play, and lots of snuggling under blankets (he loves to wear them and pretend he's a Nun sending blessings). While you'd expect a little bit of chaos, Meow Meow is actually a very good listener and does not have any destructive habits.

He is currently living with other cats and a dog, and he loves them ALL! Meow Meow has incredible social skills and would love to have some other furry friends to share his space with. He has lived with children before and is a wonderful companion for them.

Meow Meow is looking for a new home through no fault of his own (worsening allergies of a human in the home), and he would LOVE to have the opportunity to brighten your household.

If Meow Meow is calling your name, please email us today at [email protected] to learn more about him!

ADOPTABLE CAT!!

Meet Obie!

This handsome tuxedo lad was recently rescued by some clients of ours who found him outdoors. Obie is young (approximately 1 and a half years old), neutered, and is an absolute sweetheart. He's playful, loves to cuddle, and REALLY loves to be involved in whatever you're doing. During his visits here he has been nothing but lovely, offering constant purrs and lots of curiosity.

Obie is currently living with two very senior cats who are having a hard time adjusting to his energy level HOWEVER; he does seem to have appropriate cat social skills and may enjoy living with another playful cat around his age.

We don't know if Obie has met a dog before or how he would react, but he's a fairly confident cat so with a friendly dog and a slow introduction he'd probably be comfortable living with one!

Obie has an incredible personality, and while his rescuers wish they could keep him, they know he'll thrive in a more active household. If you think Obie could be a good fit for you, or if you'd like to know more please email us at [email protected] !

It’s Veterinary Receptionist Appreciation Week!

Here at Whyte Ridge Veterinary Hospital, we are beyond lucky to have two incredible receptionists. These ladies are our front line – coordinating appointments, triaging phone calls, and providing the warm and welcoming atmosphere you feel when you walk into our lobby.

Adrianna (left) has worked at Whyte Ridge for 2 and a half years. She’s calm, cool, collected – and a real silly goose, if you get her chatting long enough. Her favourite thing about veterinary medicine is that every day is a new adventure. She loves making connections with our clients every day. At home, she has a sweet brown kitty named Tootsie, and a goofy Norwegian Elkhound named Odie.

Sera (right) has worked at Whyte Ridge for 7 months. The only thing brighter than the sun shining through our lobby windows is Sera’s smile! Her favourite things about working at Whyte Ridge Vet are having conversations with our wonderful clients and snuggling with our adorable patients. At home, she has a fluffy husky named Freyja, and a cutie Bearded Dragon named Kiwi.

Thank you both for your hard work and dedication. We love working with you both, and we know all our patients feel the same way ♥

There's nothing like seeing your friend in the vet office lobby to make you a little less nervous about your dental procedure!

We thought Coda (the min pin) and Sabuchka's (the German shepherd) owners were joking about them being friends when they came in and had a polite sniff, but as it turns out these two are actually long time friends who frequent the same dog park! It was just a happy coincidence they both happened to be in on the same day for dental cleaning.

Dog friendships can be so fun and unexpected!

Have you ever wondered how we keep our tiniest patients secure during their surgeries?

As demonstrated by Johnny the sugar glider - through the power of well placed tape with very minimal tension! Tape works wonders to free up our tech's hands while they monitor the patient while making sure they stay secure during procedures that require them to be as positionally stable as possible!
