🐝 Bee & Wasp Season Is Here! 🐝

Bee and wasp stings can happen quickly, and because our pets can't tell us when they've been stung, it's important to know what to watch for.

Signs of a sting may include:
• Swelling (especially around the face or muzzle)
• Excessive licking or pawing at one area
• Sudden limping
• Hives or redness
• Whining or signs of pain
• Difficulty breathing (this is an emergency)

With these hot summer days, many pets are looking for ways to cool off. 🌞🐾

If a lake, pond, or other body of water doesn't look clean or seems suspicious, it's best to stay away. Do not let your pet swim, wade, or drink the water, as harmful blue-green algae and other toxins can make them seriously ill.

🚨 Know the signs: vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, difficulty walking, excessive drooling, tremors, seizures, or collapse.

If you think your pet has come into contact with or ingested contaminated water, contact us immediately. Prompt treatment can save lives.
