Before and after. Frank was picked up by Orange County animal Services in Orlando, Florida in April. He was underweight and suffering from malnutrition-related skin problems. The shelter estimated that he was about 7 years old, but the rough condition he was in could have made him appear older than he really is.

Frank has been fully vetted and is healthy now. He has gained weight and his skin and coat have improved. He has been neutered and had his teeth cleaned and is ready to go to a forever home. His foster mom says he is very sweet.

If you are interested in adopting Frank, please fill out an adoption application at wheatensinneed.org and call or text Gwen at (713) 906-6048.

Rowyn met her new mom Christine in New Mexico today and will be heading to California over the weekend for a whole new life.

Thank you, Bobbi Salmon for coordinating the transfer.

We’ve found a new home in California for Rowyn. The new owner would like to pick her up around Tucson, Arizona on Friday, May 22nd. We can get her as far as Hatch, New Mexico. Is there anyone between Hatch and Tucson who can get her a little further west? There doesn’t seem to be a whole lot along the way except a lot of empty space, so I know it’s a long shot, but I have to ask.

Two-year-old Rowyn in New Mexico is still looking for a home. Through no fault of her own, the home we were working with fell through. The family decided it wasn’t the right time to adopt, so we are are back to the drawing board.

Rowyn is being surrendered because she does not get along with the other female dog in the home. There is a male dog in the house that she does get along with, but she is dominant with him. She may do ok in a home with a submissive male.

Rowyn is still intact; WIN will cover the cost of her spay when she settles into her new home. If you are interested in adopting Rowyn, please fill out an adoption application at wheatensinneed.org and then call or text Gwen at (713) 906-6048. If you previously spoke to Gwen about Rowyn and are still interested, please give her a call.

This is Harley, an 8 year old neutered male in North Easton, Massachusetts. He is looking for a new home because his owner had to go to a nursing home. His foster mom describes him as a happy, healthy and very sweet dog who loves to go on walks. He gets along with the Golden Retriever in the foster home, it he can be a bit rough when playing with other dogs. He would probably be ok in a home with a female dog. He is a bit of an escape artist and does not have a good recall so a fenced-in yard is a must.

If you are interested in Harley, please fill out an adoption application at wheatensinneed.org.

This is Oakley, a 3 year old neutered male in Yuma, Arizona. His owners say he is a very sweet and happy dog who loves people - adults and children - and gets along well with other dogs. However, he is too rambunctious for the senior cats he lives with, so he is looking for somewhere else to live.

If you are interested in Oakley, please fill out an adoption application at wheatensinneed.org. After you’ve submitted your app, call or text Gwen at (713) 906-6048 for more information.
