💙🐾 From one CAP alum to helping countless shelter pets! 🐾💙

A huge thank you to Asha’s Food Bank for another incredible donation drop-off! This amazing nonprofit, founded and run by two compassionate teens, collects food donations and makes quarterly deliveries to local animal shelters.

And the best part? Asha’s Food Bank was inspired by their own beloved pup, Asha, who was adopted from CAP several years ago! 🐶

We’re so grateful to see the love that started with one adopted dog grow into something that is helping so many animals in need. Thank you, Asha’s Food Bank, for thinking of shelter pets and for being such wonderful friends to CAP!

We are blown away, Houston. 💙

A few days ago we came to you with a problem: both of our industrial washing machines gave out in the same week. We asked for help, and you showed up in a way we never expected.

In less than 24 hours, you fully funded BOTH machines.

The new machines are ordered, and until they arrive, our team is hauling laundry to the laundromat to keep every kennel fresh and clean. It's not ideal, but our animals are worth it, and so is this community.

One more thing. Because your generosity went above and beyond our goal, every dollar raised beyond the cost of the machines will go into our maintenance fund, keeping all of the mission critical equipment our animals depend on up and running.

From every wagging tail and rumbling purr at CAP, thank you. You did this. 🐾

🧺 An unexpected emergency has left us in urgent need of your help.

Within days of each other, both of our industrial washing machines stopped working.

These machines may not be the first thing you think of when you think about an animal shelter, but they are essential to the care we provide. Every day, they wash 10 to 15 loads of bedding, towels, blankets, and toys for the more than 200 animals in our care. Clean laundry helps prevent the spread of illness and gives every pet a warm, comfortable place to rest while they wait for a loving home.

We urgently need to raise $32,000 to replace both machines so we can continue providing the care our animals deserve.

Every gift, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to fresh bedding, healthier shelter spaces, and happier animals.
