🐾❤️ Sweet Rufus has had quite the week!

Rufus recently came in for a splenectomy (removal of his spleen), but he ended up needing a second procedure after it was discovered he had eaten some paper towels! 🧻🐶

Thankfully, both surgeries went well, and this handsome boy is on the mend and healing nicely!

Despite everything he's been through, Rufus is still all smiles and as sweet as ever. 💕

We're so happy to see him doing well and hope his recovery continues to go smoothly. And Rufus, let's keep those paper towels off the menu from now on! 😂🐾❤️

Sweet Silk stopped by with her pop to get microchipped! 💙 And judging by that smile, it’s pretty clear she's a total Daddy’s Girl. 🥰 There’s nothing sweeter than the bond between a pup and her favorite person!

A microchip may be tiny, but it can make a HUGE difference if your pet ever gets lost. Unlike collars and tags, it can’t fall off, giving shelters and veterinary clinics a way to help reunite pets with the people who love them most.

Life gets busy. Really busy. ❤️

Between work, family, errands, and everything else that fills our days, responsible pet ownership means making sure our four-legged family members still get the care they need.

John had his hands full when he brought sweet Hazel to Animal Works, but he still made time to do something important for her health and future: getting her spayed. 🐶💜

And Hazel looks pretty happy about having such a great human by her side!

Responsible dog ownership isn't about being perfect. It's about making thoughtful choices for the animals who depend on us, from spaying and neutering to vaccinations, good nutrition, exercise, identification, and, of course, plenty of love.

Today we're celebrating John, Hazel, and all the pet parents in our community who make their animals' health and happiness a priority. 🐾❤️
