Today during lessons, the kids learned to encourage their horses through something that may have been a little scary. They learned to keep their balance and posture up right, how to gently push their horse, show that they can be a partner with their horse through the scary stuff and how to let their horse lower their heads and to be curious instead of reactive.

Timothy and Rebel went through as well and Rebel tried tearing everything down 🫣😂 Mainly curious, a little destructive!

Just when you thought the campers couldn’t get any more wet after the all day rain, we decided to run relay races in the flooded arena, then play in the puddles… lol them pull the hose out just in case there was an odd dry spot 😂😂😂

So proud of Emery! She’s been taking lessons with me for a few months now. She’s normally very quiet and introverted. Today she bloomed! She asked to run the grooming portion of camp before riding. She showed each brush to use and did a demo on cleaning feet out. Amazing ♥️

Our first day of camp was amazing!! So thankful for these horse loving, nature crazy kids! And very impressed that our Emery chimed in and asked to do a demo on picking up feet and cleaning them for the other campers.
