Good morning! Sometimes our plans do not go as we planned. We had planned on on giving up our breeder days, but faith had other plans. If you haven't heard, Joe Rodgers, the hubby, had a massive heart attack on February 18th and spent 4 weeks in the hospital. While I was there with him, Dixie went into heat and Skip decided he wanted to be a father. We will be having a litter within a week. This will most likely be the last time we produce any puppies. If anyone is interested, please let us know.

Good evening to all the wonderful fur-families. We have a huge announcement and after a long and difficult, but needed decision, we have decided after almost 8 years, that we will no longer be a full service licensed dog breeder. We have downsized, but we still have Dixie and Skip who are still intact. If we choose to breed, or get a lot of requests, we may do a litter every 12-18 months. Our decision came down to a few reasons. For us to take a vacation that is more than overnight is very difficult. We also want to spend more time with our grandkids. They grow up so fast. Care and upkeep is a lot of work when we had 13 dogs, not to mention their food and vet care. Now do not talk crap about the vets and cost, "Big Pharma" has them by the coconuts AND they do not get reimbursed by health insurance. They go to school the same amount of years as a MD, with same amount of dept, plus have to learn multiple anatomies of more than one species and get paid WAY less. We still have Bella and Axel who have been spayed/neutered. They will live out the rest of their lives with us. As for Ole Rusty, who I promise is a real dog ( if you have ever visited, he always hides, he was abused as a puppy, got him at 10 months old, will be 10 years this coming up in May). He is our special unicorn. Of course he will stay with us forever. Rehomimg him, we feel would do him more harm. We would like to give a special Thank You to anyone who became a part of our journey.
