While Bali is known for its beautiful beaches and popular tourist attractions,
🌎 I travelled across the world, for the love of wildlife! 🐢🐘🦜🐒
🐢 Sea turtles face threats from plastic pollution, habitat loss, and accidental capture in fishing gear-the place we visited rescues and helps the turtles get healthy enough to be released back to the ocean
🦜 Wild birds depend on healthy habitats and protection from illegal wildlife trafficking .. The Bali bird park offers educational school trips and the ability to interact with the birds
🐘 Elephants need safe habitats, responsible tourism practices, and protection from exploitation.. This reserve rescued elephants affected by the deforestation in Sumatra and has a successful breeding program
🐒 Primates face increasing pressure from habitat destruction and human-wildlife conflict. Tip for YOUR Bali visit - the monkeys at Uluwatu temple are very naughty (* note the stolen sunglasses)
🐶🐾🦴Of course there are lots of dogs- street dogs are everywhere and not always getting the care they need - the art collective museum we visited had a new litter of puppies and our small donation is going to ensure they get the proper vaccinations they need
As veterinary professionals, we know that animal health extends beyond our clinics. Protecting wildlife, preserving natural habitats, and supporting responsible conservation efforts are all essential to the well-being of animals everywhere. 🌿
💚 HOW CAN YOU HELP?
🌎 Support reputable wildlife conservation organizations.
🚯 Reduce single-use plastics and dispose of waste responsibly.
🐾 Choose ethical wildlife experiences that prioritize animal welfare and avoid exploitative interactions.
🌳 Support habitat preservation and educate others about protecting endangered species.
Every action matters, and together, we can help create a future where wildlife can thrive.
