❤️ New Westminster Fire Relief for Families & Pets ❤️

The devastating fire in the Brow of the Hill neighbourhood has left many families facing an incredibly difficult road ahead. As our community comes together to support those affected, we want to do our part to help the pets and the people who love them.

We’re grateful to be partnering with Bosley’s to provide support for families and their pets during this challenging time.

Here’s how you can help:

🐾 At our veterinary clinic: We are accepting cash and e-Transfer donations of any amount to our Fire Relief Fund. Donations will help provide non-emergency veterinary care, prescription medications, pet food, and other essential support for pets affected by the fire. Our veterinary team is also volunteering their time to help care for pets in need.

🦴 At Bosley’s: They are accepting monetary donations, as well as donations of pet food and essential pet supplies for displaced families and their pets.

💚 Memorial Tree: Bosley’s has also created a memorial tree where community members can leave messages of sympathy and support for those who have lost beloved pets in this tragedy. We hope it serves as a place of comfort, remembrance, and compassion during an incredibly difficult time.

Every donation, every kind word, and every shared post helps remind our neighbours that they are not facing this alone.

We also want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the firefighters, first responders, emergency personnel, and volunteers who worked tirelessly to protect our community.

📸 A special thank you to Tom L A Jones for generously donating these powerful images of the emergency response, allowing us to share them in support of this community fundraiser.

Together, we can help care for the pets, support the families, and show the strength and compassion of the New Westminster community. ❤️

To Our Valued Clients,

At Royal City Paws Pet Centre, our mission has always been to provide exceptional care for your pets. As our community grows and veterinary medicine advances, we have carefully evaluated how best to serve you. To maintain the highest standards of medical excellence and expand our comprehensive veterinary services, we will be transitioning away from grooming services effective April 11.

Our primary focus is veterinary medicine. By becoming a fully veterinary-focused practice, we can dedicate all our time and resources to your pet’s health, reducing wait times, expanding appointment availability, investing in advanced diagnostics, and enhancing the overall medical care experience.

We would like to sincerely thank our two wonderful groomers for their dedication and years of service.

Adrienne has been an integral part of our team for the past 10 years. Throughout her time with us, she has built lasting relationships with both clients and their pets and her consistency, skill and reliability have been deeply valued. As she enters retirement, we are incredibly grateful for her decade of commitment to our clinic and wish her all the very best in this well-deserved next chapter.

We also want to thank Jade for the quality care they have provided to our clients and their pets. Many of you have come to know and appreciate their work, Jade will continue offering grooming services at Pupper Palace in Vancouver. If you would like to continue booking with them, you can contact Pupper Palace directly to book.

If your grooming appointment is scheduled before April 11, we look forward to seeing you. For appointments after this date, our team will reach out to assist you. Should you require your pet’s grooming history or preferences for a new provider, please let us know. We are happy to provide this information to ensure continuity of care.

Recommended grooming partners:
• Pupper Palace 672-514-2552
• Furry Friends 604-795-0813
• Suds N Scissors 604-525-7387

While we will miss the “spa days,” our commitment to your pet’s health remains stronger than ever. Thank you for your continued trust.

Warm regards,
The Team at Royal City Paws Pet Centre

Position: Registered Veterinary Technician

Are you looking for a friendly, safe, cooperative, organized work environment with a clinic design that promotes good communication and positive interactions between co-workers? If so, then a career awaits you at Royal City Paws Pet Centre - PAWS Veterinary Clinic in beautiful downtown New Westminster.

PAWS is privately owned and works hard to promote an appointment schedule that is manageable to ensure staff health. Our days are often fully booked and we are steadily growing, but we strive to avoid overbooking and schedule extended appointment times and limit caseloads to practicable levels in order to focus on the best possible care for our patients and clients. The safety and wellbeing of the staff and patients is of the most importance to management, and PAWS has worked hard to develop a culture that supports this philosophy.

PAWS is looking for an experienced RVT to work four days a week, ideally Sunday to Wednesday, on a full-time averaging agreement, with a schedule that promotes a work/life balance. We are currently expanding our facility and are looking for a candidate to be a part of this development and growth. Our clinic is located across the street from the New Westminster skytrain station and steps from the Quay and many wonderful restaurants.

Your responsibilities will primarily include:

Surgical prep
Anesthetic monitoring
