PLEASE HELP! šŸšØšŸ˜»šŸ™ We are in need of kitty litter, especially the non clumping variety for our itty bitty kitten friends. Tomorrow is $5 Friday and the humans have a very busy day so they decided to put this request out tonight in hopes of restocking our shelves for foster distribution. Our Chewy and Amazon wishlists (https://tenthlifecats.org/donate/) are up to date so you can shop and send litter straight to the cats. Or, if you’d prefer to shop and drop it off, please email [email protected] to set up a time. We’ve also made this post a fundraiser and will use any $$$ to order litter. We are so grateful for every single donation — they give cats like this kitten puddle, who just arrived to Tenth Life yesterday, the lives they deserve!

During last weekend’s Caturday open hours, our Operations Manager Anne had the chance to see the charming Ruby Red, who was visiting from his foster home. Obviously, she couldn’t let this opportunity go by without sitting him down for an interview.

Ruby Red: Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Anne!!!!!!!!

Anne: Whoa, hey there, Red. How are you doing?

RR (*in his best Joey from Friends voice*): How YOU doin’?

A: That’s … quite an entrance.

RR: I’ve been working on my impressions.

A: I can see that. Welcome back to the lounge, by the way. It’s been awhile.

RR: It sure has! I was just a tiny kitten when I was here before with my brothers. I think it was a lot for us back then, but now I’m feeling much better about my surroundings.

A: You’re certainly a lot taller and longer than when you were last here. Less sneezy too.

RR: I *know*, right?? I kind of got swept up in those winter colds before.

A: How are you feeling now?

RR: Amazeballs. I mean, as you can see, I do still have the occasional weepy eye, but that’s just my unique thing and not like me being sick or anything.

A: That’s good to hear! Can you tell us a bit about yourself?

RR: Well, I was one of six kittens — four boys and two girls — found with our mom after the big tornado last year. We were all like maybe a week old then — not mom, obviously, mom was older — so we didn’t really remember the storm, But I’ve learned since that it was a really big deal and we were lucky that someone found us and got us to Tenth Life where we could meet our first set of foster parents, Kris and Ron.

A: They were just here, weren’t they? They were so happy to see you!

RR: I was happy to see them! They were super nice. Some of my siblings decided to stay with them, but I came to the lounge with my brothers Oz and Stormy. We were planning to stay longer, but the sneezes got us. Then we got to hang with Deb.

A: Deb’s great. We love Deb.

RR: Me too! I had to make sure that my eye wasn’t like dangerously gross before I could be adoptable. But now I’m ready to go!

A: What are some of your current interests?

RR: Well, I love a good session with the wand. The more feathery the toy, the better. And I love doing explores and making friends! Did you know there’s an orange guy in the bathroom here who looks exactly like me and is also in his own bathroom? We were playing paws for like forever.

***Editor’s note: It was his reflection.***

A (*nods*): Your current foster mom mentioned something about Q-tips.

RR (*slightly embarrassed*): I can’t get enough of them. They’re kind of the best toys ever. And there’s this one drawer that I can open in the bathroom in my foster home and there’s always clean ones for me. Don’t get me started on Q-tips … we’ll be sitting here until next weekend!f

A: Well, I’d love to keep hanging out, but I know there’s more for you to check out in the lounge and I don’t want to keep you from your exploring. Why don't you tell our readers what kind of home you’re looking for?

RR: I definitely would like some buddies! Especially if they are looking for a friend with natural leadership qualities like myself. Also I would like a home with a regular supply of Q-tips.

A: This seems doable. Tell folks where they can learn more about adopting you.

RR: I’m at https://tenthlifecats.org/adopt-cat/?id=211185981! Hope to meet my new friends soon!

Alright St. Louis, we need your help. Artie needs your help. This perfect gentleman is looking for a foster home. He’s truly one of the most gentle, easy going cats out there and he deserves so much more than a temporary holding kennel.

Artie is FIV+, which sounds scary, but for most cats it simply means he has a slightly weakened immune system. FIV+ cats can live long, happy, normal lives with good care and regular vet visits. It’s not spread through casual contact like sharing food bowls, grooming, or cuddling — it’s primarily transmitted through deep bite wounds. Many FIV+ cats safely live alongside other friendly cats for years.

What Artie needs most right now is a soft place to land. A quiet room. A cozy bed. Someone to remind him what it feels like to be loved and safe. He is sweet, calm, affectionate, and so easy to adore.

Fostering saves lives, and for Artie, it could change everything. Can anyone in the St. Louis area open their home and heart to him? We’ll provide all the necessities and support along the way. www.tenthlifecats.org/foster 🧔

It’s $5 Friday, and today we're introducing you to the sweetest little air biscuit making girl, Ozzie.

A kind community member found Ozzie alone in her yard after her mama cat had not returned for hours. Knowing this fragile little baby would not survive on her own, in the chilly, wet weather, she kept Ozzie warm and fed until we were able to pick her up.

Thankfully, we had a foster ready to step up and provide the around-the-clock bottle feedings, warmth, and care neonates like Ozzie need to survive. Caring for newborn kittens is exhausting, delicate work, and it comes with constant veterinary needs, formula costs, supplies, and sometimes, emergency care.

The hard part is that we receive dozens of calls and emails just like Ozzie’s every single week. Tiny kittens founds outside. Sick babies needing urgent help. Litters with nowhere to go. We wish we could save them all, but we are limited by foster homes, medical resources, and funding.

Today, your $5 Friday donation can help us say ā€œyesā€ to more kittens like Ozzie. Your support helps provide lifesaving veterinary care and necessities for the tiniest, most vulnerable babies who depend on rescues like Tenth Life to survive.

Because every kitten deserves a chance. Don't you agree?

Donate right here on Facebook, on our website, or send a check to our P.O. Box.

Thank you so much!

Visit Tenth Life Cat Rescue this Caturday!

Tenth Life's adoption lounge is open from 12PM-2PM on May 23rd, 2026. We have a room full of cute cats ready to meet you, and a special guest will be joining from his foster home.

Come meet Ruby Red!

This handsome orange fella is 1 year old and has so much love and happy energy. Ruby Red came to Tenth Life last summer, when his mama cat and siblings were rescued after the big tornado. Mama ended up being quite feral and was able to go to a safe indoor/outdoor barn home, and all of her kittens, except for Ruby Red, have been adopted by families of their own.

Ruby Red battled feline herpes virus throughout his kittenhood and still has a watery eye here and there. His family will just need to keep an eye on it, and if concerning upper respiratory symptoms arise, he'll need a vet visit, just like any other cat! Because his immune system does better in an environment thats not always bustling with new kitties, he's living it up in a Tenth Life foster home until he's adopted.

This Caturday, though, during our open hours of 12pm - 2pm, Ruby Red will be visiting our adoption lounge would love to meet you! If you're interested in adopting a social, playful, cuddle bug, Red just may be for you! Come on by and meet him.

RSVPs are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome as space allows. Visiting hours are a $10 donation to help support our work and lounge costs.

Hooray, Hari! This little lady, who happened to be our longest staying lounge resident in the past year, was recently adopted. We were so excited when a kind man, who had no other pets, applied to adopt her. And it turned out to be a perfect fit. They were meant for each other and she looks so happy in her new home. 🄰🧔

Welcome to Tenth Life little cuties! When one of our animal control partners sent their photo earlier this week, Tenth Life foster mom Leah said YES right away. 😻 Who could resist? Thanks to supporters like you, we were able to rescue a 2 day old stray kitten, these 2 fuzzballs, and a sweet, injured adult in the past 24 hours. We couldn’t do it without you! ā¤ļøšŸ˜»
