During last weekendās Caturday open hours, our Operations Manager Anne had the chance to see the charming Ruby Red, who was visiting from his foster home. Obviously, she couldnāt let this opportunity go by without sitting him down for an interview.
Ruby Red: Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Anne!!!!!!!!
Anne: Whoa, hey there, Red. How are you doing?
RR (*in his best Joey from Friends voice*): How YOU doinā?
A: Thatās ⦠quite an entrance.
RR: Iāve been working on my impressions.
A: I can see that. Welcome back to the lounge, by the way. Itās been awhile.
RR: It sure has! I was just a tiny kitten when I was here before with my brothers. I think it was a lot for us back then, but now Iām feeling much better about my surroundings.
A: Youāre certainly a lot taller and longer than when you were last here. Less sneezy too.
RR: I *know*, right?? I kind of got swept up in those winter colds before.
A: How are you feeling now?
RR: Amazeballs. I mean, as you can see, I do still have the occasional weepy eye, but thatās just my unique thing and not like me being sick or anything.
A: Thatās good to hear! Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
RR: Well, I was one of six kittens ā four boys and two girls ā found with our mom after the big tornado last year. We were all like maybe a week old then ā not mom, obviously, mom was older ā so we didnāt really remember the storm, But Iāve learned since that it was a really big deal and we were lucky that someone found us and got us to Tenth Life where we could meet our first set of foster parents, Kris and Ron.
A: They were just here, werenāt they? They were so happy to see you!
RR: I was happy to see them! They were super nice. Some of my siblings decided to stay with them, but I came to the lounge with my brothers Oz and Stormy. We were planning to stay longer, but the sneezes got us. Then we got to hang with Deb.
A: Debās great. We love Deb.
RR: Me too! I had to make sure that my eye wasnāt like dangerously gross before I could be adoptable. But now Iām ready to go!
A: What are some of your current interests?
RR: Well, I love a good session with the wand. The more feathery the toy, the better. And I love doing explores and making friends! Did you know thereās an orange guy in the bathroom here who looks exactly like me and is also in his own bathroom? We were playing paws for like forever.
***Editorās note: It was his reflection.***
A (*nods*): Your current foster mom mentioned something about Q-tips.
RR (*slightly embarrassed*): I canāt get enough of them. Theyāre kind of the best toys ever. And thereās this one drawer that I can open in the bathroom in my foster home and thereās always clean ones for me. Donāt get me started on Q-tips ⦠weāll be sitting here until next weekend!f
A: Well, Iād love to keep hanging out, but I know thereās more for you to check out in the lounge and I donāt want to keep you from your exploring. Why don't you tell our readers what kind of home youāre looking for?
RR: I definitely would like some buddies! Especially if they are looking for a friend with natural leadership qualities like myself. Also I would like a home with a regular supply of Q-tips.
A: This seems doable. Tell folks where they can learn more about adopting you.
RR: Iām at https://tenthlifecats.org/adopt-cat/?id=211185981! Hope to meet my new friends soon!
