We were deeply saddened to hear about the recent news from Tower Grove Park.

As dog trainers, we spend every day helping dogs and their people enjoy life together safely and confidently. News like this is heartbreaking for everyone involved and reminds us how important safety, awareness, and respecting leash laws are in our shared spaces.

Tower Grove Park is a place where so many St. Louis dog families walk, train, play, and make memories. We care deeply about this community and are committed to doing our part to help make our parks and neighborhoods safer for dogs and the people who love them.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected.

LOOSE LEASH WALKING WITH CAM STARTS SUNDAY! 🐾

Some trainers will tell you that putting a harness on a husky is basically asking to get dragged down the street.

Turns out the harness wasn't the problem. 😉

Equipment doesn't teach loose leash walking. Training does. 👏

ROBIN DID IT 🎉🐾

Huge congratulations to Robin for officially earning their IAABC-ADT certification! 🥳🥳🥳

The IAABC (International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants) is one of the most respected organizations in the dog training industry, with a strong focus on humane, science based training and continuing education. 🐶📚

In an unregulated industry where literally anyone can call themselves a dog trainer, certifications like this matter.

Robin worked incredibly hard studying behavior, learning theory, handling skills, ethics, and real life application with dogs and their humans to earn this certification, and to say proud of them would be an understatement!

One of the things we love most about Robin is how thoughtful they are with both dogs and people. They care deeply about helping teams build real life skills together.

And the dogs still think they’re fun too! Very important detail.

Robin especially loves working with spaniels, sporting breeds, and hunting dogs, plus:
🐾 Basic + advanced obedience
🐇 Prey drive and chasing behaviors
🦮 Service dog training

In this clip Robin's teaching Eden a seizure response.

They're mimicking what a seizure might look like so Eden can practice his response and get immediate feedback. In this case, his job is to lick their face.

When he responds correctly, they mark the behavior with “yes” and reward him.

Practicing skills like this helps service dogs understand exactly how to respond if a real medical event happens.

Like all dog training, these behaviors are built gradually through repetition and clear communication between the dog and handler.
