It's just a routine vet visit. But your dog thinks it's World War III. 💥🙄

Our cooperative care trainer, Cam, knows a thing or two about making vet visits less stressful.

Before joining Good Dog, he spent four years as a zookeeper, helping to teach animals to willingly participate in their own care.

Because can you IMAGINE trying to wrestle a lion, tiger, or bear through a medical exam?! 🦁🐯🐻

Now he brings those same force-free training principles to dogs!

🩺 That's why we're celebrating Vet Tech Appreciation Week by helping make their jobs a little easier.

Our trainers are spending the week learning from some of the best in dog training and behavior at the CANIS Conference! Half are attending in Chicago, while the other half are tuning in virtually from home.

Meanwhile, Catherine's still working behind the scenes, answering questions, helping you find the right program, and matching you with the right trainer!

From puppy basics and leash pulling to reactivity, dog fights, and bites, we help with the everyday challenges AND the really tough stuff. All without pain or force. 🧡

TAKE A DEEP BREATH… and sniff. 🐶💨

Sometimes the best thing we can do for our dogs is slow down, give them some space, and let them use their nose.

Sniffing is enrichment. Sniffing is decompression. Sniffing gives our dogs information about their world. And sometimes, a good sniffy walk is way more valuable than trying to get from Point A to Point B as fast as possible.

Our “Take a Deep Breath” tee is for the dog people who know that stopping to sniff absolutely counts as part of the walk. 🧡🩵

And speaking of talking all things dog… our next Coffee with a Trainer is next Tuesday at 10 AM at Zoomies Pet Cafe! ☕🐾

Kailey will be there answering your training and behavior questions, from reactivity and Stranger Danger to enrichment, confidence building, impulse control, or just figuring out what your dog needs.

This is a humans only meet up so we leave the dogs at home and come chat, vent, celebrate wins, ask questions, swap stories, and spend time with other people who understand life with a big feelings dog.
