September 1st is Ginger Cat Appreciation Day!

Did you know that in order for a female cat to present the gene associated with a fully orange coat, both her mom and her dad have to have that coloring? That’s why orange girls are so uncommon!

We were saddened to hear of the passing of the one and only Dolly Parton. She was a dog lover and a wildlife advocate, among so many other things. May she rest in peace.

At Doorbell Vet, we take pride in our high standard of care for all patients, especially the pets who come in to our office for surgical or dental procedures.

Each patient we see for a dental will receive a comprehensive oral health assessment and treatment, or COHAT for short. While under full general anesthesia, pets will have X-rays taken of all their teeth, a thorough exam of the entire mouth, meticulous cleaning of the teeth using an ultrasonic scaler, polishing of the teeth, as well as any necessary treatments such as extractions or crown amputations. We recommend dental care at home using products with a VOHC seal of approval, which can be found here: https://vohc.org/accepted-products/
