Our veterinary team is going through a period of transition, and our practice is moving from four DVMs to two.

With a smaller doctor team, we may experience longer wait times for appointments, and medication refill requests may take a little longer than usual to process.

We truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support as we navigate through this change!

09/25/2026

Over the coming weeks, Suburban Animal Hospital will be navigating some changes within our veterinary team. We remain committed to providing the exceptional care and service you and your pets have come to expect.
Your pet's health and continuity of care are very important to us. While appointment availability may be more limited at times, our team is working hard to accommodate your needs and provide timely access to care.
If we are unable to schedule your pet as quickly as needed, we may recommend one of our sister hospitals. Because our hospitals share the same medical record system, our veterinary teams have access to your pet's medical history, vaccinations, medications, diagnostic results, and treatment plans, helping ensure a seamless care experience.
We appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued trust as we work through this transition. Thank you for allowing us to care for your pets.

In observance of on September 28th, here are our top 4 Rabies safety tips:

Keep your pet up to date with Rabies vaccines. The law varies by location, so ask your veterinarian.
If you see an animal known to carry Rabies acting abnormally or in contact with your pet, call animal control immediately. Do not handle the wild animal or risk getting bitten yourself.
If you or your pet has been exposed, contact your personal health care provider and your veterinarian immediately. Time is critical after exposure to prevent infection and death!
Bats are the leading cause of human rabies death in the United States, being responsible for more than 7 out of 10 fatal US rabies cases. Never handle bats or other wild animals as exposure can occur even if bites or scratches aren't visible. If you encounter a bat in your home, yard, or other area that would expose humans or pets, please call your local animal control and report the incident.
