We have always had a bogeyman corner in our arena. There is a thick patch of wooded area in the paddock immediately adjacent to our outdoor ring. Horses sometimes spook up there, even when we cannot see anything. I always comment that I am certain that they are able to hear, sense and detect things that we cannot see. It has once again been happening this spring and this very little happy mama decided she would have fun playing in the ring today. She is healthy and happy and I’m guessing it won’t be long until we see her babies.

Florida dreaming on such a winters day……. Day 2

Weeks 2 and 3 of our Ocala visit, we had Lance and Penelope move up to the short stirrup hunter division where she was champion.
Ava and Linus were champion in the short stirrup equitation division both weeks.
Both Faith and Kylie each showed Silverado a.k.a. Chevy during a week and took home great ribbons in their equitation and hunter classes as well.

The drop in temperatures here have me reminiscing on our time spent in Ocala.
First week we were down there had the horses a bit excited to once again be outdoors!
After we all settled down from our enthusiasm for Florida , Khloe Lynch and Silverado were champion in their equitation division and had several good hunter ribbons as well.
Penelope and Lance also started off our time there great in their divisions.
I think it’s safe to say the horses and humans thoroughly enjoy our time in Ocala! 😂

IEA truly does a wonderful job of making riding at Nationals a special experience. 1% of all riders and over 1500 teams that start the season make it to nationals.

I am so proud that this is the 2nd team in the past 3 years that has made it to nationals. They worked hard all season and were truly supportive of each other right to the very end. As I said last time we were here, I can’t wait to try to make it back to Tryon next year.
