Arizona heat doesn't play. Neither should pet hydration.
When temperatures climb, pets can become dehydrated much faster than many people realize. By the time your dog or cat seems thirsty, they may already be behind on the fluids they need.
A few simple ways to help keep your pet hydrated:
💧 Keep fresh water available at all times
💧 Bring water on walks and outings
💧 Refill outdoor water bowls frequently
💧 Encourage drinking after exercise and play
💧 Watch for signs of dehydration such as excessive panting, dry gums, lethargy, or loss of appetite
Arizona summers are hard on all of us, but our pets rely on us to help them stay safe.
What's your favorite way to keep your pet cool and hydrated during the summer months?
