Meet Bingus, our resident snack critic! 🐱💜

“Mmm… I don’t know what you call this, but I’m calling it churu, and I’d like seconds, please.” ✨

Bingus came in for his visit and gave the whole team this face. Tongue out, eyes wide, full of opinions. We’d like to think it means he had a good time. 😅

For the record, there were no actual churu involved. Just a cat-safe treat and a lot of happy lip-licking. 🐾

Visits like this one are our favorite kind. Bingus, you’re welcome back anytime. 💜

A big, happy belly is usually just a good dinner… but every dog parent should know this one. 🐶💜

“I’m a big, deep chested pup, so my humans keep an eye on how I eat. Smaller meals, slower bites, and plenty of naps after.” ✨

Bloat, also called GDV, happens when a dog’s stomach fills with gas and can twist. It’s most common in large, deep chested breeds, and the early signs are easy to mistake for an upset tummy.

A few things worth knowing:
Swollen or tight belly
Drooling or restlessness
Trying to vomit, but nothing comes up
Fast breathing or weakness
Pacing and trouble getting comfortable

The good news is that a few small habits can help lower the risk. Splitting food into smaller meals, using a slow feeder bowl, and saving big play sessions for a while after eating all make a difference. 🐾

If your pup ever shows these signs, please call your vet or the nearest emergency clinic right away. Bloat is one of those times when quick care makes all the difference. 💜

Our friends at Colby Love Can Rescue are hosting a Bingo Fundraiser to support their mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs and cats in need. 🐾

📅 Saturday, October 24, 4PM to 8PM
📍 460 N Mesa Dr, Mesa, AZ 85210
🎟️ $20 per ticket, which includes one bingo card
🃏 Extra cards are $5 throughout the night
🥫 Please bring a donation of dog or cat food (all donations are welcome, but food is a big need)
👕 The first 15 ticket buyers get a free Colby Love Can shirt
🚚 A food truck will be on site for food and drinks

Every dollar and every donation goes straight to the animals’ needs. 💜

Tickets are on sale now. Buy online, or grab yours at the door. And if funds are tight, that’s okay. Contact the rescue, because they have options so you can still come out and enjoy a good paws. 😉

Saying goodbye is one of the hardest parts of loving a pet. The timing is never perfect, there's no right way to feel, and every family's path looks a little different. 💜

Here's a peek at our treatment room, where a lot of the behind-the-scenes care happens. It's bright, tidy, and yes, very purple. 💜

We know the "back room" can feel like a bit of a mystery for pet parents. Back here our Fear Free approach doesn't change: calm voices, gentle hands, and going at your pet's pace, whatever brings them in. 🐾

Say cheese, Beau! 🧀🐶

"Excuse me, is this a vet visit or a cheese tasting? Because I'm here for the cheese. 💜✨"

Beau showed up with his fluffy coat and his very serious snack face, and he had everyone won over in about four seconds. 🐾

So… can dogs eat cheese? A little bit is usually fine! A tiny cube makes a great training treat or pill hider. Just keep a few things in mind:

Keep portions small, especially for little dogs
Plain, lower-fat picks like mozzarella or cottage cheese work best

Skip cheeses with garlic, onion, or chives.
Avoid blue cheese and other moldy varieties.
Some pups are lactose sensitive, so watch their tummy.

Cheese is rich, so it's best as a special bonus, not a daily habit. 💜 (Beau would like it noted that he disagrees. 😉)

Mandu is back for a quick peek at his little foot bandage, and he's wearing it like a champ. 🐱💜

He's been such a brave boy through all of this. Visits like his let us check that everything underneath is mending nicely and make any small changes along the way. ✨

Paws crossed he'll be back to full-speed zoomies in no time. 🐾

Some-bunny had a very good visit! 🐰💜

Mila came in and made herself right at home in Dr. Savarese’s arms, which made our whole team’s day. Those ears alone deserve their own fan club. ✨

Rabbits are sensitive little souls, so we take things slow, speak softly, and let them settle in at their own pace. Seeing Mila this relaxed reminds us why we do it that way. 🐾

Thank you for trusting us with her. We loved every minute. 💜

Your pet’s care doesn’t stop at the exam room door. 💜

With a pharmacy right here in the clinic, you don’t have to make a second stop when your pet goes home with something new. You can ask questions while everything is still fresh, and our team is happy to walk you through how and when to give it. 🐾

We know a new medication can feel like a lot to keep track of, especially with a pet who has strong opinions about pills 😅 We’re always close by for the little questions that come up later, too. ✨
