Yes, even desert animals can get heatstroke! If your tortoise is outdoors we recommend always putting in extra shading, deeper burrows, shallow water sources, and frequently checking on your tortoise! Sometimes they can flip over and struggle to get up, leaving them vulnerable to the heat.
