Looking for a best friend who is equal parts zoomies, snuggles, and joy? Well, allow us to introduce the one, the only… RUBIE ROSE 💕🌹

At just over 3½ years old and a perfectly cuddly 31.2 pounds, Rubie is basically the “just right” of dogs, not too big, not too small, but 100% ready to claim your heart 😄

This gorgeous girl is dog-friendly (hello built-in playdates! 🐕), already knows how to sit (smarty pants alert 🎓), and is eager to learn more, especially if treats or praise are involved (who can blame her?).
Her hobbies include:

🧸 Toy enthusiast (collector status pending)
💖 Leaning into you like she’s melting from love
😴 Champion-level couch cuddling

🆘Emergency Rescue🆘7 Orphans❤️‍🩹 Help is needed2-week-old babies are orphans now because their mom got hit by a car and died. The family surrendered the babies to the shelter, knowing they couldn’t care for them. We stepped cause they didn’t have a chance of survival.

Please spay and neuter your animals; dog rescues are tired and exhausted. People are not donating like they used to, but they want rescues to step up and take the animals. Update: On the 5Yorkies that were rescued after being abandoned by their owner in the car.
All 5 dogs have been fully vetted. They all were spayed/neutered, dental cleanings, bloodwork for the senior heartworm & f***l tested.
Every dog had an infection due to wearing diapers 24/7 and is on antibiotics. If you would like to foster, please fill out a foster application at www.camorescue.com.

Two little hearts, one unbreakable bond 💕🐾
Meet Camilla (11 lbs.) and Wendy (18 lbs.), two 5-year-old miniature poodles whose love for each other is as sweet as it gets. These gentle girls recently lost the only home they knew when their elderly owner could no longer care for them but through it all, their affectionate, trusting spirits have never faded.

They do everything together. They sleep curled up; side by side, groom each other like sisters, and trot along in perfect sync like a tiny parade of love. Their tails are almost always wagging, and they’ll happily soak up every belly rub you’re willing to give.

Camilla and Wendy are wonderful companions. They are great with other dogs and kids, house trained, crate trained, and perfectly content snoozing together in their crate each night in their San Antonio foster home.

But here’s the important part: they are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Their connection is truly something special, and they deserve a forever home that will cherish them both. They are spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and up to date on all preventions. If you have room in your heart (and your home) for double the love, please consider giving these sweet girls the happy ending they deserve.

Update on Grace Emerson. She is doing great 10 days after surgery to remove one of the biggest infected uteruses we have seen in a tiny dog.

Her owners took her to Harris County animal shelter to have her euthanized because they couldn’t afford a vet. Luckily we were able to take her and get her emergency surgery that evening to save her life. She has turned into a complete lapdog and just wants to be next to me 24 /7. She will make somebody an awesome Dog. 🥰

A very special thank you to our dedicated transport team—you are truly lifesavers on the road. From early morning drives to long-distance trips, you make it possible for our dogs to get to safety, to fosters, and to their forever homes. We couldn’t do this without you.

Local pup named Wesson (19 lbs, criminally cute) is wanted for the following offenses:
🐾 Excessive zoomies
🐾 Toy destruction (with extreme enthusiasm)

Meet Wesson, a one-year-old Miniature Pinscher mix and full-time chaos coordinator. This brown-and-tan bundle of energy came from a Houston shelter and has officially declared: “I would like to upgrade to a forever home immediately.”

Wesson is basically what happens if you mix espresso, sunshine, and a squeaky toy. He’s always ready to party; whether that means sprinting around the yard like he’s training for the Olympics, launching himself at toys, or greeting you like you’ve been gone for 84 years (even if you just went to the mailbox).

• Treat-motivated genius (emphasis on treat)

Here’s a sneak peek of our newest intakes plus the dogs who have been patiently waiting the longest… like “has seen every season of life from this kennel” level waiting.

We have over 90 dogs currently at our kennel who would very much prefer your couch over their current real estate situation. Whether it’s a forever home or a foster home, they are not picky. They just want out.

We’re open to the public every Saturday from 1 to 4 PM for adoptions and open house, and yes, the dogs fully support you stopping by. Application preapproval is highly encouraged because some of these faces are dangerously adoptable!

Welcome Trooper Little to Camo rescue. This poor little puppy is only three months old and he was found in the middle of the road at night. The finder thought he was a skunk at first and almost drove by him. He was likely dumped because he has an eye injury that needs surgery.

“The Little Dog with the Biggest Heart” 💛
Meet Vanilla Bean (aka Beanie), a 1-year-old terrier mix weighing a perfect 19 lbs and currently being fostered in the Houston area. Her story is filled with joy, friendship, and a whole lot of love just waiting to be shared with her forever family.

In her chapter of “Playtime Adventures,” you’ll find her racing through the yard, happily chasing her dog friends and soaking up every second of fun. She’s wonderfully social, loved by kids, adults, and dogs alike, and brings a bright, easygoing energy wherever she goes.
In “The Snuggle Chronicles,” Beanie is the star. She adores affection, lives for pets and kisses, and will happily curl up right beside you, just to be close. Her bond with her people is deep, sweet, and unwavering.

A lady parked her car with her kids inside and 5 little Yorkies, and said she didn't want anything to do with them anymore, then walked away.
Law enforcement and animal control were called. The kids are safe, and the dogs are with CAMO Rescue now.

Taking in five unvetted dogs is going to be a hit for us. None have been spayed or neutered. They will need dentals and blood work. I'm estimating their vet bill, including boarding, to be about $3,000~$4000 If you would like to help donate, you can call
Mercy Animal Clinic & pay under CAMO's account for the Yorkies. Anything would be greatly appreciated.

All I know is there are 2 girls and 3 boys.
