CAMO is a 501(c)(3) small breed & Doodle, Poodle RESCUE in TX that saves the most needful, neglected and those with the greatest medical needs.

An update on Bobbi, the sweet senior dog who was brought to our veterinary office for euthanasia.
Bobbi had emergency surgery to treat a severe case of pyometra and unfortunately had to have her spleen removed as well.
Bobbi in a wonderful foster home where she is getting plenty of love and pampering, our hearts ache because Bobbi is showing signs of depression.
This poor little girl has been through so much—she not only lost her owner, but she had to endure major surgery just to survive.

Thank you so much to everyone who donated toward her emergency care! ‼️ You truly saved her life.

Five years of her life were spent in a breeder hoarding situation, where fear and neglect were all she knew. When Mopsy first came to rescue, she was completely shut down and terrified. 💔But look at her now. 🥹✨

At 14 pounds, this sweet cream Shih Tzu is discovering cozy beds, tasty treats, playtime and the joy of being loved. She’s potty trained, kennel trained, doggy-door trained, and her silly, playful personality is finally beginning to shine. 🐾💕

Hi, my name is Dolly Joy. And if you have a little room in your heart for a very special survivor, I hope you’ll keep reading. 🥹❤️ I’m a 9-year-old Terrier mix, about 15 pounds, and I have a whole lot of gentle love left to give.

My story didn’t start out very happily. I was found as a stray after being hit by a car. I was scared, hurt, and facing a very uncertain future. But CAMO saw me and decided I was worth fighting for. And oh, how I have fought. ❤️‍🩹

I’ve needed a LOT of medical care. I had ilium repair surgery, FHO surgery, and eye surgery. That sounds like quite a list, and it is, but I want you to know something important: I’M DOING AMAZING! 🥰 Every day I’m getting stronger, healing more, and showing everyone what a brave little girl I am.

And despite everything I’ve been through… I still believe in people. ❤️
I love gentle voices.
I love soft hands.
I love being close to someone who makes me feel safe.
And what I want most of all is a place where I can finally exhale and know, “I’m home.” 🏡💗

I’m looking for an adult-only home where life is calm and peaceful. I don’t need anything fancy. Just a warm bed, a loving person, patience while I finish healing, and someone who will promise that I’ll never have to face the scary stuff alone again. I may be a little girl, but my heart is HUGE. ❤️

🚨 URGENT: 13-Year-Old Bobbi Needs Emergency Surgery to Survive!

Bobbi’s owner passed away, and her family found themselves unable to care for her. Heartbroken and confused, this sweet 13-year-old senior dog was brought into a vet clinic to be euthanized.
Thankfully our vet felt Bobbi’s story shouldn't end like this.
Bobbi possibly has Pyometra, a severe, life-threatening uterine infection. Without immediate emergency surgery, this infection will be fatal.

CAMO Rescue has agreed to try to save her but we need help.
Bobbi has severe dental disease as well.

Update on 2 of our Medical dogs Rio, and Hattie. ❤️‍🩹

Hattie was found in terrible condition unable to walk laying in a drainage ditch near one of our groomer’s homes. TLC from her foster and good vetting and she’s walking now ❤️

Rio is at the vet and he’s gained a pound 🤩
His rbc count at arrival to the ER was only 3%. Normal is 30! He had to have a blood transfusion. He has no blood due to hookworms and fleas 🥹❤️.

He was part of a litter that were all killed by other dogs 🥹. He is the last remaining puppy and was barely hanging on. It makes me sad that people were aware of him and just left him laying in a field for days. 🤬

He’s about 9 mos old and only weighed 4 pounds at arrival to camo. ❤️‍🩹
