🐾 OFFICIALLY OPEN! VEG ER for Pets

Take Action was honored to celebrate the ribbon cutting today as VEG officially opened its doors in Bellevue!

Until now, emergency veterinary care has been limited in our area, meaning pet emergencies would require a longer drive when every minute matters.

This is such an exciting and important addition to our community. VEG provides 24/7 emergency care with no appointment needed. AND, you can stay with your pet the entire time, even through surgery.

Congratulations to the entire VEG team on this exciting opening! We’re so happy to welcome you to the community and look forward to seeing the impact you’ll have on local pets and their people. 🐶🐱❤️

When Kitty came to see us, she was vomiting and unable to keep water down. Her family brought her in to see us, and after an exam and diagnostics, we found the cause! Kitty had eaten a large toy that worked it's way quite far into her intestine!

She has been healing beautifully and recently returned for her suture removal. She’s doing so well (and is such a big, but sweet girl) that Dr. Skaletski had to do a bit of “mechanic work” to find all her sutures to remove!

Signs your pet may have eaten something they shouldn’t have:

-Vomiting or repeated retching
-Not eating or decreased appetite
-Trouble keeping food or water down
-Low energy or lethargy
-Abdominal discomfort
-Diarrhea
-Straining to defecate or no stool

🐾 Did you know 95% of puppies are born with intestinal worms?!

Parasites can lead to some serious health issues for your furry friend, including vomiting, diarrhea, weight loss, and even stunted growth. And did we mention, some parasites like roundworms, hookworms, and Giardia can also spread to humans? Yikes! 😱
