A reminder that tick season is upon us! Please make sure your pets are on heartworm and flea/tick prevention!

This photo shows the results of a 4Dx snap test. It tests for the three most common tick-borne illnesses, (Lyme, Anaplasma, and Ehrlichia) and this dog tested positive for all 3!! We recommend testing dogs annually and keeping them on prevention year-round.

Signs of tick-borne illness include:
• Shifting leg lameness
• Joint swelling and pain
• Fever, lethargy, decreased appetite

We found an unexpected visitor in a box outside of our hospital 🥹. As you can see, he took no time at all making himself completely at home in our hospital. We expected to have him much longer, but he was lucky enough to find his forever home within 24 hours! Kevin, our amazing UPS delivery man, and his family took Mr. Handsome home! ❤️
