🚨🐾 I HAVE BEEN ARRESTED🐾🚨
Alright everybody, before the media gets ahold of this… I WOULD LIKE TO TELL MY SIDE OF THE STORY.
I was apparently found "hanging out" on Delaney Road off Hwy 82, in between elroy and mauston wisconsin.
Alone.
No human.
No identification.
No clue what was happening.
And quite frankly, I was already having a VERY BAD DAY. 😳 so I was just chilling on a deck sun bathing minding my business.
Some nice lady offered me meatloaf and I hoped that real fast.
Then a Juneau County Sheriff's Office Deputy showed up.
I would like the record to reflect that I am a sensitive individual and I was VERY concerned that I was about to be arrested.
I was correct. 🚔
I was apprehended and placed into the back of the patrol vehicle.
At which point I discovered something unfortunate for my defense:
I apparently freaking LOVE car rides. 🤨
So there I was…
Scared of the deputy.
Scared of the situation.
Scared of basically everything. I may have peed a little.
But also:
👀 Where we goin?
🚔 Can I sit up here?
👀 Are we taking the long way?
I am TRAUMATIZED…
but please don't stop the car. 😂
Eventually I was transported to the Sheriff’s Department, where apparently some lady from Rocky And Rustys Redemption Rescue was coming to collect me.
Excuse me.
WHO?! 😳
New human appears.
New leash appears.
ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Apparently she expected me to just walk out of there with her like we'd known each other for years.
Ma'am, I don't know you..
And at this point, I HAVE TRUST ISSUES.
So I planted my feet and made it pretty clear that my legs were no longer participating in today's events.
She tried convincing me.
I remained unconvinced.
And then…
👀
I SAW AN OPEN TRUCK DOOR.
WAIT.
Is that a VEHICLE?!
🚗💨 WE GOIN' FOR ANOTHER RIDE?!
Suddenly my legs worked.
Fear? Temporarily forgotten.
Suspicious rescue lady? Apparently forgiven.
I hopped my happy little fugitive butt right into that truck like:
WAAAAHOOOO! ROAD TRIP #2! 😂
And nobody even had to ask twice.
So apparently we've discovered my current operating system:
Walk with unfamiliar human: ❌ ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Get into unfamiliar human's vehicle: ✅ SAY LESS.
My survival instincts are… questionable. 🤷🏼♀️😂
So now I'm on my way to Rocky & Rusty’s Redemption Rescue, where I'm being held on some EXTREMELY QUESTIONABLE CHARGES:
🚨 Roaming without adult supervision
🐾 Failure to provide a valid home address
👀 Looking entirely too pathetic while being questioned
🚗 Suspicious enthusiasm for car rides
🤨 Refusing to walk approximately 20 feet, then voluntarily launching myself into a stranger's truck
🦴 Attempting to obtain snacks under false pretenses
📍 And perhaps most importantly… NOT TELLING ANYONE WHERE THE HECK I LIVE.
In my defense:
I don't know my address.
I don't know my human's phone number..
So until someone comes forward, I've apparently been assigned the temporary alias “Delaney.”
Which feels less like a name and more like law enforcement naming me after the scene of the crime, but whatever. 🙄😂
I would also like it entered into the record that I am actually a pretty scared little dude. 🥺 until im off leash! Or goin for a ride!
All these new people, new places, leashes and commotion are A LOT right now.
The car rides, though?
Those are apparently acceptable. 😂
So while the weird rescue lady gives me some space, snacks, and time to figure out that she isn't plotting my demise, we need YOU guys to do what you're ridiculously good at:
FIND MY PEOPLE. ❤️

📍 Do you know someone around Delaney Road/Hwy 82 who's missing a dog?

Until then, I will be maintaining my innocence, cautiously accepting snacks and remaining on high alert for the sound of a vehicle door opening.
