Oakley swallowed an entire fabric glove, but thanks to his families quick action and our urgent care team, he’s on the mend. We’re so happy to see this sweet boy on the road to recovery! 🐾💙

📣 Exciting News at Waukesha Veterinary Service!🐾

We are thrilled to welcome COVE (Center of Veterinary Excellence) and their team, led by CEO Fred, to the Waukesha Veterinary Service facility!

COVE specializes in advanced outpatient veterinary imaging services, including CT scans, ultrasounds, and echocardiograms, providing pets with access to cutting-edge diagnostic care. In addition, their mobile division, SVS Imaging, brings expert imaging services directly to veterinary practices throughout the region.

Having COVE located within our building is an incredible opportunity for collaboration and represents a significant enhancement to the care we provide. By bringing advanced imaging services closer to our patients, we can streamline diagnostics, improve convenience for pet owners, and help pets receive the answers they need even faster.

We are excited to work alongside Fred and his talented team as we continue our shared commitment to delivering exceptional veterinary care. This partnership will elevate the experience for both our patients and clients, ensuring access to advanced diagnostics in a familiar and trusted environment.

We want to make our Waukesha Veterinary Service family aware that road construction will be taking place directly in front of our hospital, which may impact how clients access our parking lot and building.

-Access to Waukesha Veterinary Service
-From Hwy F ( Redford Blvd)
-Head East on Busse Rd
-Turn Left (west) on Bluemound Rd ( Hwy JJ)
-The road is open to 360 Bluemound Rd
-Access at the intersection of Hwy 164 and -Bluemound Rd will be closed temporarily

We recommend allowing a little extra travel time for your appointment and watching for posted detour signs in the area.

🐾 Welcome Our Newest CVT, Carissa! 🐾

Carissa brings 4 years of veterinary experience to our team and achieved an exciting milestone in January 2026 when she officially earned her CVT license! Becoming a veterinary technician has always been her dream, and she truly loves her career more than words can express.

Her professional interests include urgent care medicine and surgical procedures, and she has a special soft spot for her feline patients. 🐱❤️

When she's not caring for pets, Carissa enjoys spending time with her own furry family, which includes one dog and two cats that she shares with her significant other. She also loves working out, hiking, and being around all kinds of animals.

✨ Fun Fact: Carissa is the middle child in a family of five siblings!

We're excited to have Carissa on our team and know she'll make a wonderful impact on our patients, clients, and staff. Be sure to say hello when you see her at the clinic! 💙🐾
