We wanted to share a happy adoption update about Goose, formerly known as Gavin! He has settled in so well with his new family and his dog sibling, Blue. He’s loving his new home in South Carolina and even recently graduated from beginner obedience class!

One day. Three shelters. So many dogs ready to meet their match!

Join LifeLine Animal Project for our Super Adopt-a-thon on Saturday, September 26, from 10 AM–3 PM at Union Hill Park in Alpharetta.

We’re bringing adoptable dogs from our Fulton, DeKalb, and LifeLine Community Animal Center locations together for one big day of lifesaving love.

Dog adoptions will be FREE, and every adoption includes spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and more.

Rod Wave may be small, but she has no trouble making herself right at home. At just 10 months old and 15 pounds, this little girl is happiest when she’s close to her people, soaking up cuddles and enjoying every bit of attention she can get. She recently went into foster, where she’s getting the chance to show just how sweet and affectionate she can be.

Rod Wave is also a natural when it comes to making new friends. She was so excited to take her photos and seemed more than happy to be the center of attention! Now, she just needs someone to give her the next step: a loving family of her own.

Today could be the day everything changes for a dog in need.

DeKalb County Animal Services has dogs on the urgent list who need a safe place to land through adoption, foster, or rescue placement.

These dogs are loved. They are known by our teams. They have people rooting for them. Now, they need someone in the community to see them and say yes.

A yes today can mean fostering a dog for a little while.

It can mean adopting the one who has been on your mind.

It can mean sharing their face until it reaches the right person.

We know life is busy. We know it’s a Thursday. But for these dogs, today matters.

We set an ambitious Clear the Shelters goal: help 2,000 pets move into homes and positive placements across LifeLine.

Together, our community helped 1,431 pets take that next step.

That’s 71.55% of our goal, and 1,431 individual lives changed through adoption, foster, rescue, and other lifesaving outcomes.

We want to give a huge shoutout to our community, volunteers, and staff! We can not thank you enough for all that you do for our pets.

This weekend, the script flipped at Meant to Meet and the pets got a chance to pick their people! Some pups wanted to choose everyone, while others were perfectly happy to sploot and wait for the right match.

Undertow is a sweet pup who has been winning over everyone he meets. Volunteers have even declared him their “crush of the day,” and it’s easy to see why. He’s playful, friendly, knows sit, and has an easygoing personality that makes spending time with him a whole lot of fun. At about 2 years old, he’s ready to make his way from the shelter to a loving home.
