Canine reproduction is a team sport.
It takes someone motivated to improve their breed, rich in experience and with a passion for whelping and raising puppies to become a responsible breeder. It takes a veterinary team to provide knowledge and the skills to support each kennel with their goals.
Each person brings a different set of skills to team and everyone is better for it.
Here's to a great weekend of seeing that teamwork pay off and thank you to the Ottawa Kennel Club (and all the volunteers) who made this weekend happen! 💚

The veterinary community is small, and the veterinary repro community even smaller! It was a pleasure to see Dr. Hailey Bertrand from Parkside Animal Hospital (North Bay) at the show this week 💚

GENERAL INFO

We eagerly welcome everyone to our annual Ottawa Kennel Club Dog Show from May 22-24 at the Richmond Fairgrounds!

We have attached a map of the venue with all parking and event buildings noted. There are posters and maps on site to help and, when in doubt, grab someone in a yellow OKC shirt!

Spectators! You are so welcome! Please leave your dog at home if they are not entered in any events. We do not have parking fees required but the Canadian Veteran Service Dog Unit is onsite at entrances accepting donations in lieu of parking fees.

For first time dog show attendees; Ring times start around 8am and go till mid to late afternoon. Our schedule can be found in the comments so you can make sure you don’t miss your favourite breeds.

We have vendors, local businesses and food trucks onsite all weekend, so come and make a day out of it!

While this is an event with dogs and we all love dogs, always make sure to ASK before interacting with dogs, some of those hair do’s can become don’ts quite fast!

A gentle reminder that the person who manages this page and responds to messages is a volunteer who is onsite all weekend running around, please be patient with response times - she does keep an eye out for urgent things!
