Happy Hanukkah to all those lighting candles in our community tonight. We surround you in our love after the horrific, antisemitic attack in Australia. May your celebrations and commemorations be filled with peace, safety, and joy.

May we all remember both the costs of war and the price of peace.

We left you hanging last week, so here is the answer!

This cat has anterior uveitis. Keratic precipitates are clumps of fibrin, protein, and white blood cells that have precipitated out of the aqueous humor and adhered to the corneal endothelium (inside of the cornea). Keratic precipitates are visible in the ventronasal cornea. There is also marked rubiosis iridis visible in the temporal half of the iris. These two findings are diagnostic for uveitis. Typically patients with uveitis have miotic pupils, however this patient also has an optic nerve lesion not visible in this photograph that caused mydriasis.

It's reverse Wednesday today; we are giving you the answer for last week's challenge!

This cytology image shows epithelial cells and neutrophils, many of which are degenerate. There are also extracellular coccobacilli bacteria and in a couple of neutrophils, intracellular organisms. The patient responded well to broad-spectrum topical antibiotics.
