Today is for the mothers — the ones raising children, raising communities, raising hope, and holding people together in ways the world often never fully sees.

To the moms, stepmoms, foster moms, adoptive moms, grandmothers, aunties, mentors, caregivers, chosen moms, pet moms, grieving moms, hopeful moms, and the women who mother through love alone — thank you.

Society is built quietly on the emotional labour, resilience, compassion, sacrifice, wisdom, and strength women give every single day.

And today also feels especially meaningful in veterinary medicine — a field carried overwhelmingly by women who spend their lives nurturing, advocating, comforting, healing, and loving not only people, but the animals entrusted to their care. The compassion in this profession runs deep, and so much of it comes from women who give endlessly of themselves every day.

Happy Mother’s Day to every woman who nurtures, protects, teaches, comforts, advocates, and shows up with love. The impact you have reaches farther than you know. ❤️

As temperatures rise, so does the risk of heat stroke in our pets ☀️🐾

Heat stroke is a life-threatening emergency for both dogs and cats — and it can happen faster than you think. Here’s how to help keep your pets safe:

Who’s most at risk?
- Brachycephalic (flat-faced) breeds (Bulldogs, Pugs, Persians)
- Overweight pets
- Senior animals or very young pets
- Thick or Long coats
- Pets with Underlying medical conditions

🚫 Never leave pets in a parked carEven on a mild day, temperatures inside a vehicle can skyrocket within minutes — cracking a window (or two) is NOT enough.

💧 Keep them cool and hydrated
- Always provide fresh, clean water
- Offer shade or air-conditioned spaces
- Avoid outdoor time during peak heat (usually 11am–4pm)

🐕 Adjust exercise routines
- Walk dogs early morning or later evening
- Avoid hot pavement (if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for paws)

🏠 Create a cool environment at home
- Fans or AC
- Cooling mats or damp towels
- Elevated resting areas for airflow

⚠️ Know the signs of heat stroke:
- Excessive panting or drooling
- Lethargy or weakness
- Vomiting or diarrhea
- Red or pale gums
- Stumbling or collapse

🚨 If you suspect heat stroke:
- Move your pet to a cool area immediately
- Offer small amounts of water
- Apply cool (not ice-cold) water to their body
- Seek veterinary care ASAP — this is an emergency

When in doubt, always err on the side of caution. Stay safe and keep your pets cool on these beautiful sunny days! ☀️

It’s Veterinary Reception Week and honestly, there aren’t enough words for what Jenna, Rayven, Sara and Brianna handle in a day.

They are the first voice you hear when something’s wrong, the ones trying to keep everything moving when the schedule is packed, and the people holding space for families on some of their hardest days.

They answer the phones that don’t stop ringing, juggle a million things at once, and somehow still manage to be kind, patient, and steady through all of it.

They deal with frustration, worry, last-minute emergencies, and emotional conversations, often all at the same time, and still show up for every single client and patient that walks through our doors.

They remember your pets. They celebrate the good moments with you. They sit with you in the hard ones.

And behind the scenes, they’re doing a hundred little things that keep the entire clinic running—most of which probably go unnoticed.

To our ladies at the front: we see how hard you work, we see what you carry, and we appreciate you more than we probably say out loud. This clinic doesn’t run without you. 🤍
