Happy Veterinary Technician Week! 🐾

This week, we’re celebrating the incredible veterinary technicians who keep our hospital running, our patients safe, and our veterinary team supported every single day. ❤️

Our RVTs aren’t just veterinary technicians... they’re anesthesiologists, surgical nurses, laboratory technicians, pharmacists, radiology technicians, patient advocates, educators, dental assistants, emergency responders, nutrition experts, and professional pet snuggler all rolled into one! 🩺💉🩹🐾

They monitor anesthesia, assist with surgery, place catheters, run lab work, calculate medications, take radiographs, care for hospitalized patients, comfort scared animals, educate clients, troubleshoot when things don’t go as planned… and somehow still find time for those all-important cuddles. 🥰

Behind every healthy patient is a team of people who care deeply, and our RVTs bring knowledge, skill, compassion and heart to everything they do.

Please join us in giving a HUGE thank-you to our amazing team:
🥰 Full-Time RVTs: Leah & Taylor
🥰 Part-Time RVTs: Lainie, Mandy, Kelly Ann & Kerri

We are incredibly lucky to have you all on the Mactaggart team! Thank you for everything you do for our patients, their families, your coworkers and each other. You truly are the heart of veterinary medicine. 🐾❤️

A huge HAPPY Veterinary Technician Week to all the fabulous vet techs out there! From cuddles and care to the not-so-glamorous jobs in between, you do it all and you do it with heart. Thank you for being the superheroes of veterinary medicine!

Help us wish Dr. Jo a very happy birthday!

While we’re celebrating another trip around the sun, we’re also getting ready to say a bittersweet goodbye. Dr. Jo will be heading to southern Alberta this fall, and while we’re so excited for her next adventure, we’re definitely going to miss having her as part of the Mactaggart family!

Thank you, Dr. Jo for the compassion, dedication, laughter, and care you’ve shared with our patients, clients, and team.

We hope your birthday is filled with love, laughter, good food, happy hearts, and plenty of furry cuddles. May your next chapter bring you wonderful adventures, new memories, and lots of wagging tails. 😊
