Can Dogs Eat Apples? Yes!

Apples can be a healthy, tasty treat for dogs when given in moderation. They’re packed with vitamins, fiber, and antioxidants that support overall health.

⚠️ Remember:
• Remove the skin, core, and seeds before feeding. (unlike the apple shown in the picture) 😉
• Cut apples into small pieces to prevent choking.
• Only give as an occasional snack as too much apple can cause an upset tummy.

A few apple slices make a great snack for your furry friend! 🐶🍎

Meet our Miss June, Annie! 🩷

Annie’s story is one of resilience, love, and second chances. After joining her family at two years old, this once fearful little dog slowly learned how to trust, play, snuggle, and let her big personality shine. Today, Annie is known for her love of food, her impressive mealtime clock, her outdoor adventures, and being the ultimate cuddle bug.

With the help of her loving family, and her special bond with her brother Walter, Annie has grown into the happy, confident girl she was always meant to be. We are so honoured to be part of her journey and help keep her healthy and smiling along the way!

Why do some dogs howl at sirens?

A few reasons dogs may howl at sirens:
🐾Instinct & communication: Sirens sound similar to howling, which wolves and dogs use to communicate with their group.
🐾Sensitive hearing: Dogs hear frequencies much better than humans, so sirens can sound especially intense or attention-grabbing.
🐾Territorial response: Some dogs react as if the noise is an intruder entering their space.
🐾Excitement or anxiety: Certain dogs howl because the sound overstimulates them or makes them uneasy.

If your dog is howling excessively and/or is showing signs of anxiety they should be evaluated by a veterinarian.
