๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿพ Today's Push-Up Challenge superstars are our amazing nurses, Rach, Hannah and Tayla! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’ช

Look at them go! Each one is absolutely smashing the challenge, proving that determination, teamwork, and a little bit of stubbornness can go a very long way. ๐ŸŒŸ

Not only have our TVH team been hard at work caring for your pets, supporting their families, and treating every patient as if they were their own, but they've also been smashing out their daily push-up targets. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿพ

We firmly believe that teamwork makes the dream work. There is no "I" in team, and this challenge has shown exactly what can be achieved when people support, encourage, and lift each other up.

Today marks Day 10 of The Push-Up Challenge, with a mighty 167 push-ups on the cards!

So far, our incredible TVH Pawsitive Pushers have completed an amazing 1,209 push-ups and squats. What an achievement! Every single member of our team who accepted this challenge should be incredibly proud of themselves.

The physical challenge is one thing, but the mental strength required is very real now. With just one more day until a well-earned rest day, our team is digging deep, encouraging one another, and pushing through together.

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated, shared our posts, and cheered us on so far. Your support helps raise awareness for mental health and supports organisations that provide invaluable help to Australians who need it most.

Now, let's get behind Rach, Hannah and Tayla as they tackle today's 167! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ”ฅ

๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿพ Day 8 of The Push-Up Challenge!๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’ช

Today, our TVH Pawsitive Pushers team is taking on 130 push-ups, with Dr Bronte and her trusty Dachshund, Jack, leading the way. While Bronte does the hard work, Jack is making sure morale stays high with plenty of support and supervision! ๐Ÿถโค๏ธ

The Push-Up Challenge is about much more than fitness. It's about raising awareness for mental health and supporting organisations that provide vital services to Australians who may be struggling.

Mental health is particularly important within the veterinary industry, where vets, nurses, receptionists, and support staff face unique emotional challenges every day while caring for pets and supporting their families.

As a team, we want to help start conversations, reduce stigma, and encourage people to look after their own mental health while supporting those around them. Sometimes, something as simple as asking "Are you okay?" and taking the time to listen can make a bigger difference than you realise. ๐Ÿ’™

Thank you to everyone who has supported our TVH Pawsitive Pushers so far. Every donation, share, and word of encouragement helps us make a difference.

Now, back to those 130 push-ups, Bronte! Jack is watching closely. ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿพ

๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿพ Meet Lonnie and her biggest cheerleader, Stevie! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’ช

While taking part in The Push-Up Challenge this month, our TVH receptionist Lonnie has had a very enthusiastic personal trainer by her side. Stevie has been helping keep Mum motivated with plenty of kisses, tail wags, and the occasional rolly-polly inspection to make sure every push-up is up to standard! ๐Ÿถโค๏ธ

The Push-Up Challenge runs throughout June and raises awareness and funds for mental health support services across Australia. Participants complete thousands of push-ups while learning about important mental health statistics and helping support organisations that provide vital assistance to people doing it tough.

We're incredibly proud of our TVH Pawsitive Pushers team and grateful for the amazing support we've received from our community so far.

โœจ Thanks to your generosity, we're now less than $700 away from reaching our $2,000 fundraising goal! โœจ

Every donation helps support organisations that work tirelessly, day in and day out, to provide mental health education, support, and crisis services for those who need them most. Their work changes lives, offers hope during difficult times, and makes the world a brighter place for so many people.

From all of us at TVH โ€” thank you to everyone who has donated, shared our posts, cheered us on, or supported this important cause. Your kindness truly makes a difference. ๐Ÿ’™

If you'd like to help us reach our final goal, there's still time to donate and support both our team and the incredible organisations behind The Push-Up Challenge.

Now excuse Stevie... she has some more quality control inspections to carry out. ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’ช

๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸŽ‰ PUSH-UP CHALLENGE โ€“ DAY 4! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’ช

We've officially smashed out 442 push-ups (or squats!) so far! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Today's goal? A whopping 150 push-ups! ๐Ÿ”ฅ

That means after today, we'll have just 2,865 to go... ๐Ÿ˜… (Who's counting?!)

The good news? Tomorrow is our first rest day! ๐ŸŽ‰ We think we've earned it!

Today's inspiration comes from our amazing rehabilitation nurse Zoe and her adorable helpers, Kip and Ava. โค๏ธ

Well... "helpers" might be a stretch! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Kip has decided that if Mum needs extra motivation, the best way is to become a human weighted vest and lie directly on top of her during push-ups! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿคฃ

Meanwhile, Ava has taken a much sweeter coaching approach, providing plenty of encouragement in the form of kisses. ๐Ÿ˜˜

Between the extra weight and the surprise smooches, we're not sure whether Zoe's workout was easier or harder!

While we're having a bit of fun, we're also taking part in a challenge that shines a light on something incredibly important.

๐Ÿง  Recent research from a survey of 1,302 Australians found that:
โ–ช๏ธ 60% of respondents said their personal lives, including health and relationships, are having the biggest impact on their mental health right now.
โ–ช๏ธ 37% identified the cost of living as one of the biggest factors affecting their mental wellbeing.

These numbers remind us that mental health challenges are touching the lives of many Australians every day. That's why we're proud to be participating in this challengeโ€”to raise awareness, encourage conversations, and support better mental health for everyone.

Thank you to everyone who has followed along, cheered us on, donated, or joined in. ๐Ÿ’™

Now, wish us luck as we tackle today's 150 push-ups... and then enjoy a well-earned rest day tomorrow! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ˜ด

๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ›๏ธ Special delivery! ๐Ÿ›๏ธ๐Ÿถ

Meet Dan, a 10-week-old puppy who tipped the scales at 4.2kg when he visited our TVH Sorell Hospital last week. But it wasn't just Dan who turned headsโ€”it was his mode of transport! ๐Ÿ˜†

This little guy arrived safely tucked inside a Woolworths shopping bag, carried proudly by his dad. Why? Because Dan isn't fully vaccinated yet, and his dad wanted to keep him protected from potential exposure to diseases while also keeping him secure during the trip. ๐Ÿพโค๏ธ

While we don't usually recommend the "grocery bag express" as a long-term travel solution, we absolutely love seeing owners take their puppy's health and safety seriously! ๐Ÿฅฐ

Puppies are vulnerable to serious illnesses, such as parvovirus, until they've completed their vaccination course. Until then, it's important to:
โœ… Avoid letting them walk in public areas where unknown dogs may have been.
โœ… Carry them when visiting places outside the home.
โœ… Keep them safely restrained when travelling in the car.
โœ… Follow your vet's vaccination schedule.

Dan may have arrived looking like someone's cutest shopping haul ever, but his dad's careful approach is a great reminder that keeping young pets safe before they're fully vaccinated is well worth the extra effort.

Have you ever had a creative way of transporting your pet? Share your photos and stories below! ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿถ๐Ÿฑ

โ„๏ธ๐Ÿพ Welcome to our Tassie Winter season! ๐Ÿพโ„๏ธ

With the cooler months now here, it's a good reminder to make sure your pets have a warm, dry, and sheltered place to rest. Extra blankets, cosy beds, and protection from Tasmania's chilly winds can help keep them comfortable all season long. ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ’ช This June, some of our team members will also be taking part in The Push-Up Challenge as the TVH Pawsitive Pushers!

From 3โ€“26 June, we'll be completing push-ups to raise awareness and funds for mental health. This is a cause close to the veterinary profession, where the wellbeing of our teams is just as important as the care we provide to our patients every day.

If you would like to donate to this very special cause and cheer on the TVH Pawsitive Pushers, follow the link in our comments section below. ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’›

We'll be sharing updates throughout the month, and we'd love your support as we join thousands of Australians to . โค๏ธ

๐ŸŒŠ Rehabilitation Success Story: Meet Henry! ๐Ÿ’™

At Tasmanian Veterinary Hospitals, rehabilitation is something we take seriously โ€” because every pet deserves the best chance at recovery. Weโ€™re lucky to have our dedicated Rehabilitation Practitioner, Zoe, who supports patients recovering from surgery, injury, or managing arthritis.

Today we want to introduce Henry, a brave little legend who has been attending weekly hydrotherapy sessions with Zoe after a spinal injury left him with significant neurological challenges. Walking, standing, and even dayโ€‘toโ€‘day activities became incredibly difficult for him.

With strict crate rest, a tailored homeโ€‘exercise plan, and committed weekly hydrotherapy, Henry and his family worked closely with Zoe to help him regain strength, coordination, and confidence. And the results have been amazing.

๐Ÿ’ง Why Hydrotherapy Helps:
โ€ข The buoyancy of water reduces pressure on joints and sore muscles, allowing improved movement
โ€ข It supports dogs with neurological deficits by helping them lift and place their paws more effectively
โ€ข Water resistance strengthens muscles and improves gait control
โ€ข Itโ€™s a safe, controlled way to rebuild mobility during recovery

Henryโ€™s family put in an incredible amount of work, and their dedication shows. Zoe and the entire team at Tasmanian Veterinary Hospitals are so proud of Henryโ€™s progress โ€” and weโ€™re cheering him on every step of the way. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿพ

๐Ÿถ๐Ÿถ Double the puppies, double the love ๐Ÿ’›

Sunny & Teddy came in to see Dr Bronte and nurse Jayd for their 2nd puppy vaccination โ€” although their family originally came looking for one puppyโ€ฆ somehow they left with two adorable siblings instead ๐Ÿฅน Bless!

At 10 weeks old, these two were full of personality. They also received a full nose-to-tail health checkโ€ฆ and judging by the photos, they were absolutely pooped afterwards ๐Ÿ˜‚

During their consult, Dr Bronte discussed:
โœจ Nutrition and slowly introducing new foods like steamed veggies
โœจ Safe socialising while they grow
โœจ Weight management for healthy joints
โœจ Desexing options and timing
โœจ PenHip X-rays and possible JPS surgery if ever required

We know bringing home puppies comes with lots of questions and concerns, and weโ€™re always here to support you with the advice, care, and guidance needed to give your pups the best start in life ๐Ÿพ

Sunny & Teddy have already popped back in multiple times since then just to say hello โ€” receiving plenty of kisses and cuddles from our reception team each visit ๐Ÿ’• They seem bigger every single time we see them! We are so thankful to be part of their journey and canโ€™t wait to watch these gorgeous siblings grow up together ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿถ
