Meet Jen, our Training Manager!

Many of you may have met Jen over the years in her roles as a Veterinary Nurse and as part of our Client Services team, so we thought it was time to properly introduce you to what she does behind the scenes at TVH! ❤️

Jen has been part of the veterinary industry for 19 years and has a real passion for helping people learn, grow and feel confident in their roles. As our Training Manager, she works closely with our trainees and new team members, supporting them as they begin their careers and helping them develop the skills they need to become amazing members of our team.

Jen is also a huge advocate for Veterinary Nurses and Technicians and is passionate about helping our profession continue to grow and be recognised.

Outside of work, Jen is kept busy with her husband Andrew, her two daughters Rose and Grace, and their two dogs, a cat and a flock of chickens! 🐶🐱🐔

We honestly don’t know what we would do without Jen. We are so grateful for all of her support, knowledge and encouragement, and for everything she does for our team every single day. We are so lucky to have her! ❤️

We’re so excited to see our Bellerive rebuild featured in today’s paper. Dr Gareth shares the story behind rebuilding our hospital after the fire, featuring alongside one of our amazing clients, Amy, and her beautiful dogs Emerald and Ruby ❤️

It’s been a big journey, and we’re so proud to finally have our Bellerive hospital back and ready for our TVH family.

Now this is a satisfying before and after 😍🦷

5-year-old Luna came in for a scale and polish, and look at the difference! All that tartar was scaled away and her teeth were given a good polish, leaving this gorgeous girl with a much cleaner and healthier smile ✨🐱

While Dental Month is nearly over, keeping on top of your pet’s dental health is important all year round ❤️

We’re getting ready to celebrate the grand opening of our rebuilt Bellerive hospital, and our TVH team will be coming together to mark this very special occasion! 🐾

To allow everyone to join the celebrations, there will be some temporary changes to our clinic hours:

📅 Friday, 28 August
Kingston & Sorell will close at 4:00pm.
Bellerive & Mornington will be closed.

📅 Monday, 31 August
Kingston, Sorell & Mornington will open at 9:30am.
Bellerive will be open from 9:00am–6:00pm.

Thank you for your understanding while our team comes together to celebrate this exciting new chapter for TVH! 🎉❤️

Our sister clinic at Bellerive is reopening this Monday, 31st August, from 8am–9am!

🐶 HAPPY INTERNATIONAL DOG DAY! 🐶

Today is a chance to celebrate everything we love about dogs. The joy they bring, the endless entertainment, the cuddles, and those little personalities that make each one so special 🐾

Meet Dr Parris 🐾

If you've been into TVH over the last little while, you may have already met Dr Parris! She’s been an important part of our team for some time now, mainly working across our Sorell and Pass Road clinics!

Parris grew up in Nottingham, England, surrounded by dogs of all shapes and sizes, which is where her love of animals began. After graduating from the University of Liverpool in 2021, she spent two years working in a charity practice before setting off on an adventure around Australia in a purple van. Tasmania quickly felt like home, and we're so glad it did.

Parris has a particular interest in ultrasound, surgery, and emergency and critical care. Outside of work, you'll usually find her making the most of Tasmania, whether that's surfing, diving, hiking or climbing.

We're incredibly lucky to have Dr Parris as part of the TVH team 💙

Dental Month is in full swing at Kingston! 🦷

Meet Buddy, the Chihuahua who recently came in for a dental procedure. He was the sweetest little patient and, after his procedure, was all snuggled up in his blankets in recovery getting lots of cuddles from our team 💙

Just look at that satisfying before and after! A healthy mouth can make such a big difference to your pet's comfort and overall wellbeing.

If you've noticed bad breath, yellow teeth or red gums, it might be time to book your pet in for a dental check 🐾
