🐾💙 Introducing Nurse Consults at Heathmont Animal Hospital! 💙🐾

From July 2026, we're excited to offer dedicated Nurse Consults ($49) and Nurse Treatments ($35) with our experienced Veterinary Nurses!

As our clinic continues to grow, we're thrilled to provide appointments in a dedicated nurse treatment room, for those times when your pet needs ongoing care, advice, or treatment—but doesn't necessarily require a full veterinary consultation.

Our Nurse Consults are available for:
🐶 Chronic disease management
🦴 Arthritis management
⚖️ Weight management
🩹 Wound management
💉 Administration of prescribed treatments, including arthritis injections, allergy or pain relief injections, laser therapy, bandage changes, ear cleans, and more
🚑 Triage for urgent cases

Our nursing team is made up of highly skilled Certificate IV-qualified (or higher) Veterinary Nurses, with many formally registered through the Australian Veterinary Nurse and Technologist Registration Scheme (AVNAT). Through ongoing professional education, they continue to provide the highest standard of care for your pets.

In honour of dental month - let's revisit this case when dental x-rays saved the day!

🦷🐱 Meet Loopy, our sweet feline friend who came in just… not quite herself 😿

Her diligent human noticed she wasn’t playing, had stopped grooming, was vocalising more, lost interest in food and losing weight. Something was definitely up — but on visual exam, we couldn’t see much apart from some dirty teeth 🤔

Enter: DENTAL X-RAYS — the superhero of this story! 🦸‍♀️🦷

Loopy was admitted for a dental clean, and thanks to x-rays, we discovered a retained tooth root hiding below the gumline — a sneaky source of serious pain! 💥🦷

Now Loopy’s back to her fabulous, playful self — grooming, eating, and even enjoying head scratches again! 😻
