We are super excited to introduce Piper, who joined the Croydon Pet Hospital family in 2025 as a Trainee Veterinary Nurse! 🩺🐶

With a lifelong love for animals, Piper is now taking the next exciting step in her career as she begins studying her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing! 📚🐾
She also has a special interest in wildlife and exotic animals, which she hopes to pursue in the future. 🦜🦎

Outside of the clinic, she's a proud dog mum to her gorgeous Groodle, Maisie! 🐕 She also loves travelling, exploring new places, painting and spending time with family.

We're so lucky to have Piper join our team and can't wait to see her continue to grow and develop as a veterinary nurse! 💜

Be sure to say hello next time you're in the clinic! 🐾

🐾🩷Happy Vet Nurse Day!🩷🐾

Today we’re celebrating the wonderful nurses who are at the heart of Croydon Pet Hospital. 🩺🐶🐱

A huge thank you to Kirsty, Liz, Tiff, Paris, Ashleigh, Bea, Jacqueline, Liz (yes we have two Liz’s!) Maija and Piper for the care, compassion and dedication you bring to the clinic every single day.

Our nurses wear so many hats, all in one day at the clinic! From welcoming clients at reception, monitoring anaesthetics, assisting with surgeries and radiographs, and providing TLC to our hospitalised patients, to supporting clients through both the happy moments and the heartbreaking ones. ❤️
And of course, let's not forget the never-ending mountain of cleaning, washing and laundry that keeps growing throughout the day!

We also want to give a very special shout-out to our wonderful locum nurses, who regularly step in when our team members are away or unwell. 🫶

To all of our veterinary nurses, thank you for everything you do for our patients, our clients and each other. We couldn’t do it without you.

Thank you to our amazing boss, Dr Jess, for spoiling us with lovely gifts, and a big thanks also to our Senior Nurse Liz, for making such epic grazing boards for us to enjoy for lunch.

Big love! 🐾

Enzo visited us yesterday for his puppy vaccinations and brought approximately 90% ears, 10% puppy with him. 😂👂🐶

Safe to say, this gorgeous little guy was a hit with the team! 💙

We can’t wait to see if he ever grows into those ears! 🤭🐾

Well… that’s a first! 😂

Cue some very determined detective work to piece it back together. 🕵️‍♀️🧩

Thankfully, our nurses are nothing if not persistent! 😂

💛 R U OK? DAY 💛

Today is a reminder to ask a simple question that can make a very big difference:
R U OK?

For those of us in the veterinary industry, this day holds a lot of importance.

Our jobs are filled with plenty of puppy and kitten cuddles and incredibly rewarding moments, but there is also a side of veterinary medicine that isn’t always seen.

Behind the scrubs are very long, emotionally and physically demanding days, emergencies, difficult diagnoses, euthanasias, grieving families and the pressure of wanting to do everything we can for every animal in our care.

Sadly, veterinary professionals experience a significantly increased risk of su***de and mental health challenges.

Today, we want to remind our veterinary colleagues and our wider community, to check in on the people around you. Ask the question, genuinely listen to the answer, and check in again.

And to our wonderful clients, thank you for remembering that there are humans behind the scrubs. We care deeply about your pets, and a lot of the times we carry those cases home in our hearts too. 💛🐾

If you or someone you know needs support:
💛 Lifeline 13 11 14
💛 Beyond Blue 1300 22 4636
💛 Su***de Call Back Service 1300 659 467

From all of us at Croydon Pet Hospital, please check in on your friends, family, colleagues, and yourself. 💛

🎉🐾 CROYDON PET HOSPITAL TURNS 30! 🐾🎉

This year marks a very special milestone for us - 30 years of Croydon Pet Hospital! 🥳🎂

For three decades, our hospital has had the privilege of caring for the pets of our wonderful community, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything CPH has become along the way.

Owned by Dr Jess, Croydon Pet Hospital is now home to an incredible team of 6 vets and 10 nurses, alongside the amazing locum vets and nurses who work with us and have become such an important part of the CPH family. We have so much appreciation for our entire team at CPH 💙

Over the past 30 years, there have been countless patients through our doors, from tiny kittens and puppies taking their first trips to the vet, to much-loved senior pets we’ve had the honour of caring for throughout their lives. There have been plenty of cuddles, laughs, tears, emergencies, recoveries, wagging tails, purrs… and probably more fur than we could ever count! 🐶🐱🐾

A milestone like this wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of the many wonderful people who have been part of Croydon Pet Hospital over the years, both past and present.

And most importantly, thank you to our incredible clients and community. Thank you for choosing us, supporting us and trusting us with the care of your beloved pets. Some of you have been part of the CPH family for many, many years, and that means more to us than we can say.

Here’s to 30 years of Croydon Pet Hospital, the thousands of animals who have left their paw prints on our hearts, and many more years of caring for the pets of our community. 🥂🐾

Happy 30th Birthday, CPH! 🎂🎉💙

🎂🎉 Birthday celebrations at Croydon Pet Hospital! 🎉🎂

We’ve had a very important job to do this week… celebrate three very special members of our team! 🥳💕

Happy Birthday to Dr Alice, Nurse Liz, and also one of our wonderful Locum Vets, Ruweka! 🐾🎈

Of course, no birthday at Croydon Pet Hospital is complete without cake… so naturally, there was a cake for each birthday girl! 🍰😋

We hope you’ve all had a wonderful birthday and felt suitably spoiled.
We’re so lucky to have you as part of our Croydon Pet Hospital family! ❤️🐶🐱

🎉 A big Congratulations, Dr Sebastian! 🎉

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate a fantastic achievement from one of our very own vets, Dr Sebastian! 🥳🐾

Sebastian has recently passed his Surgical Memberships - an impressive achievement that reflects his dedication, hard work and commitment to advancing his surgical skills and knowledge. 👏🩺

We know just how much time, study and dedication goes into achieving this, and the whole team at Croydon Pet Hospital couldn’t be more thrilled for him! 💙

Of course we celebrated with a delicious cake too! 🙌🏼

🐶🎓 Did you know we have Puppy School at Croydon Pet Hospital!? 🐾

If you’ve recently welcomed a puppy into your family, or know someone who has, we have something pretty pawsome happening right here at the clinic! 🐾💕

Amanda from Smart Choice Dog Training has been running Puppy School at Croydon Pet Hospital for quite some time, helping puppies and their families get off to the very best start. 🐶✨

Puppy School is about so much more than just teaching your puppy to sit! It’s a great opportunity to help your puppy develop confidence, learn important life skills and enjoy positive experiences with people and other puppies also.

Classes can cover things like:
🐾 Basic obedience and manners
🐾 Puppy socialisation
🐾 Confidence building
🐾 Puppy biting and chewing
🐾 Settling and calm behaviour
🐾 Positive training techniques
🐾 Tips and guidance for navigating those tricky puppy stages!
And, of course, it’s a great chance for fur-parents to learn too! 🥰

Amanda takes a positive approach to training, helping set puppies and their humans up for a happy life together. 🐕💕

So if you have a new puppy at home, please reach out to Amanda at Smart Choice Dog Training and she will take very good care of you and your newest addition during the fun and tricky puppy stages!!
