Perry and his very unwelcome plus-one! 🐶🔬

This gorgeous mini dachshund visited us at the beginning of the week after his owner found and removed a tick from his ear following a recent trip away.

Perry’s owner brought the tick along too, so our vets could take a closer look under the microscope. Thankfully, Perry was well at his check-up, and the tick didn’t appear to be a paralysis tick. 💙

A big well done to his owner for spotting the little hitchhiker and bringing Perry in to be checked! 🐾

Meet the lovely Lola 🐱💙

Lola recently had a cystotomy with us — surgery to open the bladder and remove a bladder stone. And this one was definitely hard to miss… just look at the size of it! 😳🪨

Bladder stones can cause discomfort, straining to urinate, blood in the urine, and in some cases, potentially dangerous urinary blockages.

Thankfully, Lola was an absolute superstar throughout her stay and is now recovering with plenty of rest, cuddles and TLC. 🥰🐾

Our brave patient from today!

He came in for a Dental, X-Rays and some lump check ups. Max was a wonderful patient and the team very much enjoyed caring for him!

Dental disease is really common in both dogs and cats, and pets can still eat normally even when their mouth is painful.

Things to watch for include bad breath, red gums, tartar, drooling, chewing differently or dropping food.

If something doesn’t look or smell quite right, it’s worth getting checked!

🐾 Meet Shadow! 🐾
This gorgeous boy was one of our kittens who found his forever home, and today he came back to visit us for his castration. 💙

The procedure went beautifully, and Shadow is now recovering like a champ in the loving arms of our nurse, Vivianne. 🥰

He was a little tricky to examine beforehand because he wouldn’t stop purring! 😛 We’re so happy to see that he still remembers us and clearly feels safe, happy and comfortable here. ❤️

It’s always so special seeing our patients grow up and come back to visit us! 🐱✨
