🐥 From abandoned to safe & thriving 💛

These two little chicks were found dumped in a shopping trolley at Broadway Shopping Centre with a heartbreaking note: “I have no family… Save me! The night is cold.”

Thankfully, they were brought straight to us at Glebe Vet where they got a warm, safe start and plenty of TLC 🫶

From there, one of our amazing nurses, Jasmin, went above and beyond—driving them out to a rural vet in Goulburn, where she met someone from (near Canberra) who took them to where they’ll now live out the rest of their lives safe, cared for, and exactly where they belong 🌾🐓

It truly takes a village, and we’re so grateful to everyone involved in giving these little ones a second chance 💛

Open on Saturday 4th April from 9am-2pm

Remember to keep those lovely chocolate eggs away from your dogs this Easter, as well as those hot cross buns. And if your dog does accidentally ingest any chocolate or raisins. Be sure to quickly note how much and what type before calling us or an emergency hospital immediately:

This gorgeous Tawny Frogmouth came into our care recently — and just look at that incredible camouflage! 🤎
Often mistaken for owls, tawny frogmouths are actually more closely related to nightjars, and rely on staying perfectly still to blend in with tree branches. When they feel threatened, they’ll stretch tall, close their eyes, and become almost invisible… nature is amazing! 🌿
This not so little one is now safe, warm, and being cared for by 🩺 after early care and examination including X-Rays by our team
If you ever find injured wildlife, please don’t hesitate to contact your local vet or wildlife rescue — early help can make all the difference 💚

Meet Bexley & Kingsley 💛

These two little cuties were found tucked away under a house in Bexley, and have already come such a long way. At around 15 weeks old, they’re now safe, thriving, and ready to soak up all the love 🐱✨

👑 Bexley – our sweet little lady, gentle and curious
🦁 Kingsley – our playful boy full of personality and mischief

It would be lovely for them to be homed together but we can of course consider other options.

If you’ve been thinking about adding a kitten (or two!) to your family, these two might just be your perfect match 🏡🐾
