A small fish with big nutritional benefits.

Sardines are very palatable and can be a great addition to your pet’s diet, providing:

✨ High-quality animal protein
✨ EPA & DHA omega-3 fatty acids

But as with any ingredient, more isn’t necessarily better. Sardines are high in vitamin D and contain thiaminase. So, feeding cooked/canned sardines and in moderation is important.

If you’re buying canned sardines for your pet, look for plain varieties packed in water, without added salt, or other seasonings.

And yes… some pets absolutely LOVE them. So great for enrichment moments.

🐶 5 easy ways to make your dog’s meals more enriching!

Happy International Dog Day! 🧡

Feeding your dog doesn’t have to mean simply putting food in a bowl and walking away. Mealtimes can also be an opportunity for enrichment, mental stimulation and natural behaviours.

Here are 5 easy ways to make meals more interesting:

🎓 1. Mini training session
Use part of their meal for a quick training session.

🐾 2. Scatter feeding
Scatter dry or semi-moist food around a safe area and let your dog sniff them out.

👃 3. Snuffle mats
Hide part of their meal in a snuffle mat and let them use their nose to find it.

👅 4. Try a lick mat
Spread their meal onto a lick mat for a slower, more engaging feeding experience.

🧩 5. Food puzzles
Use a puzzle feeder or food toy to turn mealtime into a problem-solving activity.

And remember, enrichment doesn’t have to mean extra food! Using part of your dog’s regular daily meal can provide all the fun without adding unnecessary calories.

It’s not just what we feed our dogs, but how we feed them 🐾

💸 POV: You’re a Veterinary Nutritionist with a budget… so naturally, you start calculating what it costs to feed your cat.

We often hear that feeding a fresh or homemade diet is expensive, but is it actually?

We took a look at the cost per day of some popular wet foods and treats, then compared them with a properly formulated, complete & balanced homemade diet.
And… 👀

The difference was much bigger than we expected.

🐶 A quick & easy fresh meal for your dog! 🥣

Think homemade feeding has to be complicated? Think again!

This simple recipe uses just a handful of ingredients:
🍗 500 g chicken breast
🍄 200 g mushrooms
🍎 280 g apple
🌰 3 tsp walnut oil
🐟 3 mL fish oil
✨ 15 g CompleteMe Canine

Here’s how to make it:
1️⃣ Cook the chicken and mushrooms together in the same pot until the chicken is cooked through.
2️⃣ Turn off the heat, then add the apple and stir through.
3️⃣ Allow the mixture to cool.
4️⃣ Once cool, add the walnut oil, fish oil and CompleteMe Canine, then mix well.

And that’s it! A simple fresh meal without a long list of ingredients or complicated preparation 🧡
