Today we say farewell to the wonderful Nurse Jazz. She has been an integral part of our team for years; always quiet and calm but always ready for whatever is thrown her way.

We will miss her smile, professionalism and friendly presence and wish her all the best for her future endeavours.

If your furry friend is running low on any medications, special diets, flea and tick prevention, or other essential treatments, please contact our clinic before the weekend to ensure you have everything you need.

Many suppliers and veterinary services operate on reduced hours during public holidays, so ordering early helps avoid any last-minute stress.

Notice anything interesting?

Unlike many birds, pelicans don’t have external nostrils, so airflow occurs through the mouth and airway passages. To help maintain breathing while we assessed this beautiful patient, our team carefully and continuously held the beak open to support airflow during treatment.

Wildlife cases like this are always a reminder of how unique each species can be, and how important calm, skilled handling is in treating wildlife.

An eye-opening moment for little Rango when he discovered his radiographs were approximately 300 times larger than he is!

After a long stare at the screen, we reassured him that:
🦎his posing was excellent
🦖his tiny dinosaur energy was impeccable
🦎the way he focused on the radiographs suggest he has a promising future as a radiologist

Talk about a confidence boost for this little guy.
