🐾 EXPERIENCED FOSTER NEEDED! 🐱❤️

We are looking for a loving, experienced foster home for this sweet mama and her one kitten! 🥹🐾

We are looking for someone who has previous experience fostering nursing mother cats and their kittens and understands the care, patience, and commitment involved.

❤️ Foster requirements:

* Previous experience fostering a mother cat and kittens.
* A quiet, dedicated space where mama and her baby can stay safely separated from other household animals.
* The ability to care for both mama and her kitten until the kitten is approximately 10 weeks old and they are ready for their next steps.
* A commitment to providing a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for this little family.

Mama is incredibly sweet, and we would love to see her and her baby spend this important time in a comfortable home rather than at the shelter.

Please understand that we are looking for an experienced foster only at this time. We want to make sure both mama and her kitten receive the care and attention they need.

🐾❤️ A HUGE THANK YOU! ❤️🐾

We want to send a HUGE thank you to Maggie and her family, AAA right here in Webster, and my favorite furious lion, Zac (previously known as Jax) for stopping by the Webster Animal Shelter on Friday with some wonderful donations! 🥰

Donations like these make such a difference for the animals in our care, and we are incredibly grateful for the continued kindness and support from our community!

And as much as we appreciate the donations, there’s something extra special about getting visits from our former shelter babies. ❤️

Seeing them happy, loved, and thriving in their forever homes is one of the absolute best parts of this job.

Zac, you handsome little lion, it was SO good to see you again! 🦁🐾

🐾 FREE SPAY OPPORTUNITY FOR FEMALE DOGS 🐾

We wanted to share a great opportunity being offered through Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine – Luke and Lily Lerner Clinic!

Tufts veterinary students are looking for eligible female dogs as part of their surgical training program.

Eligible dogs must be:

* Female
* 16 weeks – 7 years old
* 10–80 lbs
* Generally healthy with no major medical concerns
* Not brachycephalic (flat-faced breeds such as Bulldogs or Pugs)
* Not Dobermans

For qualifying dogs, Tufts will provide:

🐶 FREE spay
🐶 FREE Elizabethan collar (cone)
🐶 FREE take-home pain medication
🐶 FREE heartworm test
🐶 Low-cost vaccines and microchipping available

This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who has been putting off getting their dog spayed because of cost while also helping future veterinarians gain valuable hands-on surgical experience.

🍂 Happy Monday & Happy Fall! 🍂

The leaves are changing, the temperatures are dropping, and that means barn inspection season is here! 🐓🐐🐖🦆

This is a friendly reminder that if you keep farm animals — including chickens, ducks, pigs, goats, sheep, horses, or other livestock — an annual barn inspection is required by law.

Our Animal Inspector, Liz, will soon begin reaching out to those whose contact information she already has to schedule inspections.

📞 If you did NOT receive a barn inspection last year, please help make Liz’s life a little easier and contact her directly at 508-949-3883 to schedule yours.

So, what exactly is a barn inspection?

These inspections aren’t meant to make anyone nervous! The information collected is confidential and helps maintain accurate records of where susceptible animal species are located. This becomes especially important in the event of a large-scale disease outbreak and also helps determine what animals and resources may need to be accounted for during natural disasters or other emergencies.

During the inspection, the Animal Inspector will also make sure:

🐾 Animals have safe and appropriate enclosures
🐾 Their living areas are reasonably clean
🐾 Adequate food and water are available
🐾 Animals do not appear sick or in need of medical attention

For most responsible animal owners, it’s a pretty straightforward and quick process.

Luckily, Webster has the best Animal Inspector around! ❤️

This little lady was spotted wandering around the Gulf gas station, and Liz went out of her way to respond and was able to safely catch her and get her out of harm’s way.

If this is your chicken, or you recognize her and know where she may have come from, please contact me so we can get her back home where she belongs.

A HUGE thank you to Liz for going above and beyond tonight to help this girl. Not all heroes wear capes… apparently some chase chickens around gas stations. 🐔❤️

We’re running a little low on a few of our everyday shelter essentials and could use some help restocking!

🧼 Cleaning supplies
