What is a long line? It's wonderful tool to use to safely build confidence and strong recall. Prada has a decent recall, could be better in different environments (outside the yard) This is one way we work on those recalls. Recalls should be used often, on a walk, not just when there is a potential distraction. Rewards and Payments are variable for recalls. Notice in the video Prada checks in often... these I pay every time, I like she checks in with me. She also does a few "look and dismiss" when her eyes and ears catch's a squirrel playing or a dog barking. Every walk is an opportunity to work on increasing and enforcing that behavior you're looking for.

Miss Sissy works on so much when we are out, that focusing on loose leash walk is the bottom of this list. I don’t work on any behavior when walking on leash, however I don’t let her get to far ahead and will ask her to come back to me..A year ago, I couldn’t film this because she would be all over and at the end of her lead looking for a quick escape. In this video she is much calmer and working through the scary.. Notice how nice the leash is.. 🐾🐾

Wednesday Wagging Tails
New environments for Sissy, after about 10 min she went into a down on her own and settled, this is a very vulnerable state for her but she did it🐾🐾she is still a bit sceptical but she is figuring it out.. She is building that confidence.
The 2nd photo, even though Sissy is in a “Settled” position, she is showing signs of stress and anxiety. Ears back and licking her lips, and tail tucked..
we ended here and raced to the buches for some sniffing.. and back to car to decompress.

Sissy did a thing today conquering confidence building one paw at a time . Worked through walking past people at an under threshold distance,
Conquered level 3 of walking through a building filled with unique aromas, scary things and more people.. finishing with sitting outside and taking it all in, in a calm Sissy fashion! ❤️❤️❤️
