🐾🌊 Another Pool Day at GNDD! 🌊🐾

Sapper and Surf here with today’s pool report…

The pool was packed, the splashes were flying, and the zoomies were at an all-time high! 🏊‍♂️💦

Some pups launched themselves into the water like furry torpedoes, some preferred to wade around and cool off, and a few spent the day judging everyone’s swimming techniques from the sidelines. We’re pretty sure they were scoring dives on a scale of 1-10.

We saw:
🐾 Big splashes
🐾 Happy barks
🐾 Wet noses
🐾 Floating tennis balls
🐾 Questionable swimming styles
🐾 And at least 47 attempts to drink the pool water despite being told not to. 🤦‍♀️

The best part? Watching all of our daycare friends have an absolute blast while staying cool in this summer heat.

Now excuse us while we go home, track pool water through the house, and sleep for the next 14 hours. Being professional pool party hosts is exhausting. 😴🐶

🐾💦 While the pool pups are out there practicing for the Doggie Olympics, we want to give a shoutout to our Dry Land Division! 💦🐾

Not every pup dreams of making a splash. Some of our daycare friends have looked at the pool and said, “Absolutely not. I did not do my hair for this.”

Instead, they’re enjoying the finer things in life:
☀️ Sunbathing like professional vacationers
🌳 Supervising the yard from their favorite shady spots
👑 Judging the pool dogs’ life choices from a safe distance

Whether they’re pool sharks or land lovers, all our pups have a blast at daycare. Today we’re celebrating the dogs who believe getting wet is a personal attack and that staying clean is a talent. 😂

Hello Great Neck Doggie Daycare Families,

🐾 Sapper and Surf here with another exciting update! 🐾

It seems like every day brings a new project as we continue upgrading Great Neck Doggie Daycare to make it even better for our pups and their people!

Starting tomorrow, Friday, June 5th, our roof will be getting a much-needed makeover. Don’t worry—business will continue as usual, and your dogs can still come enjoy their daycare day with all their friends. The roofing project is expected to be completed by Sunday, so the excitement should be short-lived!

For safety, there may be times when we bring the dogs inside the daycare rooms while the roofing crew is working on certain sections of the building, especially around the back. Our staff will be closely monitoring everyone to ensure the pups stay safe, comfortable, and happy throughout the project.

You may also notice some additional noise during drop-off and pick-up, and the dogs may hear occasional banging or construction sounds throughout the day. While most of our daycare pups take these things in stride, we’ll be keeping a close eye on everyone and providing plenty of enrichment, playtime, and indoor breaks as needed.

Oh, and our newly renovated front porch is complete, so you can once again use the front entrance for drop-off and pick-up!

Thank you for your patience and support as we continue making improvements to Great Neck Doggie Daycare. These upgrades are all part of our commitment to providing the best possible experience for your dogs.

🐾💦 Day 2 of Pool Party Week at Great Neck Doggie Daycare! 💦🐾

What a splash-tastic day! The pups were diving, paddling, and showing off their best pool moves as we celebrated a very special guest—Bowie’s 9th Birthday! 🎉🎂🐶

Bowie spent his big day surrounded by friends, sunshine, and plenty of pool time. From cannonball wannabes to professional floaters, the dogs made the most of another beautiful pool day!

A huge happy birthday to Bowie and thank you to all our daycare pups for making Day 2 such a success. We loved seeing so many wagging tails, happy faces, and wet noses around the pool.

Stay tuned—Pool Party Week is still going strong, and we can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!

🌊🐾 Breaking News from Great Neck Doggie Daycare: 🐾🌊

Today was the official first pool day of the season, and the pups had some very important business to attend to:

💦 Testing the splash zone
💦 Creating the largest possible waves with the least amount of effort
💦 Showing off their Olympic-level belly flops
💦 Running laps around the pool at speeds that defy physics
💦 Looking completely offended when it was time to get out

Some pups dove in like seasoned lifeguards, while others carefully negotiated the terms of their water entry. A few spent the day supervising from the sidelines, making sure everyone was following proper pool etiquette (they were not).

Needless to say, tails were wagging, tongues were hanging, and several dogs are expected to sleep through dinner tonight after such a ruff day of aquatic adventures.

Pool Days start Tuesday June 2nd. Dogs must be at daycare by 9am to enjoy pool time. A toenail check will happen and longer nails will be dremmeled at the cost of $20 before enjoying pool.

After what felt like 47 years, 12 inspections, and at least 9 dramatic supervisory meetings by Sapper & Surf…

Sapper says the water temperature has been personally paw-approved.
Surf says cannonballs are encouraged, dignity is optional.

Your pups are now welcome to:

🎾 Miss every toy throw with confidence
☀️ Sunbathe like they pay the mortgage here

Please expect:
• Wet dogs
