Meet Marco!
Marco came to us from the shelter in Charlotte County, VA, after he was initially found stray and ultimately surrendered to the shelter by his owner. While he was on the loose, he befriended a male beagle, and they were seen hanging out together.
He seems very calm and sweet, and we are still getting to know him.
Thank you so much to SWAG Southern Welfare Animal Group Inc. for helping him, providing these amazing photos, and arranging his transport to Chesapeake, VA. 💚

Meet Sitka!
This puppy cuteness was found running stray in March by a good Samaritan. He had no collar and no microchip. After following all the local laws and looking for an owner to no avail, he was brought to us.
He is great with people and other dogs, and is looking for his forever home through our rescue. 💚

We are beyond thrilled to announce that sweet, wonderful Kitsune has found her forever home! She came to us in July 2025 through a last-minute emergency shelter pull, aided by several volunteers, to get her to us from Baltimore County, MD. She is now off on adventures and we couldn't be happier!! Happy life, gorgeous Kitsune!

We are so happy to say that after two years in rescue, Cato has found his forever home! This sweet, goofy boy came to us in December 2023 from a family who could no longer care for him.

We are beyond thrilled to announce that Hazel and Bear have found their forever home! These two cuties (and siblings) came to us in August 2024 from a family who could no longer care for them. Even in the best of times, placing bonded pairs is challenging, but exponentially more so when adoptions have almost crawled to a halt.

Thankfully, a wonderful family (who has previously adopted 3 other dogs from us over the years!) decided to take a chance on these goofballs, and give them an amazing forever home. 💚

We are so thrilled to share that after almost exactly 4 years in our rescue, Vladimir has found his forever home! He came to us from a shelter in VA in August 2021, after his previous family lost their home.
