2026 "There's No Place Like Home" 11th Annual Open House!
This past Saturday we partnered with Coldwell Banker Brown Realtors to celebrate our 11th annual open house celebration 🐾🥳! We owe the realtor agents and staff at CBBR an enormous thank you for their time and the sponsorship support they dedicate to this event. Thanks to their generosity we had 31 adoptions, grilled hot dogs, cotton candy, trick or treating, pumpkin painting, a ballon artist, and a whole lot of love from their team! We are so grateful for their support.
We also had a special dedication of our dog shelter to Rose & Billy Hatley. Now called the Hatley House for Dogs, this space reflects the hard work and selflessness of the Hatleys to provide the best structure not just for our dogs, but for our whole shelter facility. Billy has come out to remodel and repair over the past decade and has asked for nothing in return. Thank you, Billy & Rose ♥️.
It was also time to celebrate Shelby & Bella’s completion of the Paw Wall in our agility yard. These Girl Scouts earned their Silver Award by painting a memorial wall and improving the whole space. We are so proud of these girls and their families for the enormous contributions they’ve made to improve the space, and raise funds for our shelter pets!

Thank you to the Troy Illinois Police Department officer Dan Lipe and service dog, Salina for joining us. We also send special thanks to the Troy Fire Protection District for sending officers, the huge ladder truck, and an ambulance. The kids loved it!
