🔥 Protect Your Pets This Summer! 🔥

As temperatures rise, so do the dangers for our furry friends, especially when it comes to hot pavement and extreme heat. 🐾☀️

Here are some important facts every pet owner should know:

🚫 Hot pavement burns paws!
When it’s just 85°F outside, pavement can reach 125°F or more… hot enough to burn your pet’s paw pads in less than 60 seconds. If you can’t hold the back of your hand on the pavement for 7 seconds, it’s too hot for your dog.

🌡️ Heatstroke is deadly.
Dogs can overheat quickly, especially short-nosed breeds, seniors, and those with health conditions. Symptoms of heatstroke include heavy panting, drooling, vomiting, weakness, and collapse. It can be fatal.

🚗 Cars become ovens.
Even with windows cracked, the inside of a car can hit over 100°F in just minutes. Leaving your dog in the car for “just a minute” can be a deadly mistake.

✅ How to keep your pet safe:
• Walk early in the morning or late in the evening.
• Stick to grass or shaded paths.
• Keep fresh water on hand at all times.
• Never leave pets in parked cars.
