🐾 August Adoption Update!🐾

August was another month filled with happy endings, and we couldn't be more grateful!

😺 26 cats found their forever homes -- including long-time resident Maui, pictured third row, far right. She spent a total of 85 days in shelter.
🐶 19 dogs found their forever families
🐓 11 chickens found new coops to call home
🦆 2 ducks found their happy place

That's 58 animals who left our shelter and started the next chapter of their lives!

Every adoption represents a second chance, a new beginning, and a family opening their hearts and homes. We're incredibly thankful to everyone who adopted, shared our posts, volunteered, donated, or simply cheered these animals on.

Thank you for helping us make more happy endings possible! ❤️

Exciting news for Stocksdale Dog Park visitors! 🐾

As we continue to roll through our 2026 planned Park updates, TOMORROW the parking lot by the Dog Park will be repaved!

The Dog Park will remain open during the repave process, which will start around 7 a.m. You can still bring your furry friends by to play, but just be aware that crews will be working in the parking area in front of the gates.

We are thrilled to finally check this much-needed project off our list as we continue improvements throughout our Liberty Parks & Rec facilities! Thank you so much for your patience as we make these upgrades better for all humans and pups! 🐶❤️

The Liberty Animal Shelter is ECSTATIC to announce their first annual Pool Pawty and fundraiser! This new event will be held at the Ruth Moore Park sprayground for all friendly canines and their human counterparts to attend on Sunday, Sept. 13 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. We ask if you are able, please bring a small donation for the shelter, whether that is financial or edible, and have a great time. The Liberty Animal Control & Shelter has some great kids looking for new homes.
**Final 2 Days** My doggo buddies need new homes ASAP. Repairs need to be made to the drainage system in the dog kennels. All dogs are 1/2 price through September 1st!

National Dog Day calls for a celebration! These three boys are still looking for their furever families and have earned half priced adoptions until Sept. 1.
