As the year progresses, our hay barn typically experiences inventory depletion, making hay purchases necessary. We are grateful to have received a considerable donation of premium hay from Roger, an Arabian horse owner. The donated hay is top-grade pasture grass hay, distinguishable by its light-colored exterior and green interior, complemented by a pleasant aroma and meticulous cleanliness. Today, Tanya, Dusty, and Syl picked up an initial shipment of the hay. Roger's kindness also includes hiring a young man to deliver the remaining hay, showcasing his commitment to our equine care. This donation provides significant benefits to our horses, and we appreciate Roger's thoughtfulness. The exceptional quality of the hay will surely be appreciated by the horses.πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

Fantastic Friday!!! We hope your day is a positive one.

We have been busy as usual caring for and working horses. Dusty picked up some grain and Hay/Alfalfa late morning. We have attached a copy of the receipt. Normally we don’t as for donations to cover these smaller expenses, however, we need to be real with you. We are extremely worried about the months ahead for our horses.

Our monthly budget to house, care, feed, vet, and train our horses is on average $6000 monthly. We are not taking in nearly that much. Therefore, we need to push for more support. We are open to different fundraising ideas and for small groups and individuals putting on fundraises to benefit AHRE. If a lot of people give or do a little, the sum total is huge.

We are extremely grateful for our current monthly recurring donors and horse sponsors. Your support matters. We like to encourage others to set up recurring monthly donations in an amount that is comfortable for them. The recurring donations help us better reach our budgeting goals.

You can donate on our PayPal giving fund page. just click the link below.

Update on Zayn:
Zayn had a large hematoma near his stomach due to complication of being gelded. The good news is that when we took him to have the hematoma removed, our vet did an ultrasound and found that the hematoma was drastically smaller than previously. Likely due to his body absorbing it. Still, there was a small mass, so instead of cutting him open to remove, it was decided that the best course of action was to put him on 15 days of antibiotics as a precaution. Zayn should be completely fine and ready for his future. We want to extend a huge thank you to our supporters who donated to help us cover his vet expense. Also, a special shout out to Becky, who has committed to a monthly sponsorship that helps us cover Zayn’s expenses. We love our community of like minded individuals who understand our mission and support us so that we can move mountains for the horses that need us the most.

Update on the weanling c**t from auction. Thanks to his Sponsor, John, he has a new name Johnny. We affectionately call him little Johnny. He was gelded last week. Vet aged him at around 10 months old. He is recovering just fine. We also had X-rays done of his injured leg. X-ray’s were clean and our vet says that besides the scarring, he should have no limitations with his future. This is fantastic news. We are wanting to adopt him out to someone looking for a young horse to raise up and train. Johnny has nice conformation and could be an endurance horse, trail horse, or even a cow horse. He is half Arabian and half Quarter Horse, which is a very nice combo. Johnny does need more handling, however, leads ok and trailers. He is in your pocket and learns quickly. He is available for adoption now.

He is all tucked in at the quarantine barn. He is a handsome weanling c**t. He still has his hooves crossed, hoping for a full sponsor that will want to give him a name…we are too. We have had people inquire, however, no one has committed yet. Sure we could name him, but it’s so much fun when a supporter sponsors and gets to name, plus it will help us the cost of caring for him. A win-win. Just message us for sponsorship information.

We just picked up the weanling c**t from May 3rds auction. Thank you Bree for fostering him.

When we posted about Zayn, he got a lot of attention. A lot of likes a lot of people commenting how gorgeous how athletic he is how remarkable he is. We absolutely agree with all that. He is doing really well however, on Monday, we noticed he had swelling on the inside of his rear right leg and he was favoring it. The swelling was substantial so we immediately called the vet. We got him in to see the vet on first thing on Tuesday Morning. Zayn was gelded a month ago and had seem to heal just fine. However, after bloodwork, an ultrasound, our vet discovered that he most likely has a hematoma internally that will need to come out. The good news is it’s nothing that is going to impact him long-term. He will have a procedure to remove the hematoma next Wednesday. He is expected to make a complete recovery. Between this week and next weeks appointments we are expecting a pretty high bill. Therefore, we are asking you our supporters if you can help us cover his medical procedures by making a small donation. If you want to make a donation directly to our Vet, we are happy to forward you that information. If you just reach out and message us, we will be happy to do that. Or you can make a small donation via PayPal at www.PayPal.Me/Arabianhorserescue or Venmo horse rescue

Your support will help us cover this expense, which will get him back on the road to being fully adoptable. Sometimes when horses are gelded, there are complications and this is one of those times. We are glad that we took quick action to address it. Your love and support for Zayn is greatly appreciated. Our goal is to raise $700 which will help cover the majority cost of the two vet appointments which include two ultrasounds sedation bloodwork, and removal of the hematoma.
