Olly, a 9-month-old Dachshund, is heading home after his neuter surgery and celebrating National Donut Day in the most appropriate way possible 🍩🐾😂

He’s sporting his inflatable recovery collar that looks just like a giant donut — stylish AND functional! This helps protect his incision while keeping him more comfortable during recovery than a traditional cone.

Lots of rest, short walks, and extra snuggles ahead for this little guy 💙

Therapy Thursday featuring Tuli Rose 🐾💛 a 23-month-old Australian Cattle Dog mix who is equal parts adorable, bouncy, and very hard to photograph because she is always on the move and giving kisses 😘📸

Tuli is currently in rehab for strength and conditioning after being diagnosed with hip dysplasia following a PennHIP evaluation performed by Dr. Gerevics.

PennHIP (Pennsylvania Hip Improvement Program) is a specialized radiographic method used to evaluate hip joint laxity — essentially how “loose” the hip joint is. Unlike standard hip X-rays, PennHIP uses a series of precise positioning techniques and measurements, including the Distraction Index (DI), to objectively assess how much movement there is between the femoral head and the hip socket. Higher laxity can indicate a higher risk for developing osteoarthritis over time.

This is not a routine X-ray technique — it requires special certification and training, and not all veterinarians are able to perform it. It’s a highly standardized system that helps identify hip issues early, even before obvious clinical signs appear, allowing us to start proactive rehab and management sooner.

We’re so happy to have Tuli in our rehab program working on strength, stability, and comfort 💪🐶 and yes… cheese is absolutely essential for getting at least one still photo out of her 🧀😂

Coal, a very handsome 15-month-old boy, came in for his annual exam 🐾✨ and showed up looking sharp in his bowtie 🎀😌

Routine wellness care helps keep young dogs like Coal healthy, up to date on vaccines, and thriving as they grow. He was a very good boy throughout his visit! 💙

Tiny chip. Big peace of mind. 🏠✨ With the 4th of July around the corner and one of the busiest times of year for lost pets - now is the perfect time to make sure your pet’s microchip information is up to date.

Only 6 in 10 microchips are registered. If your pet already has a microchip, we can scan it to help you verify the information linked to it. If they aren’t microchipped yet, our team is happy to help before the holiday festivities begin.

Training Tuesday 🐱✨ Let’s talk about cat enrichment that actually feels like training (without making it feel like “training”)

Cats don’t usually respond to drills or repetition like dogs do — but they absolutely love predictable games that reward natural behaviors. One of the best (and easiest) enrichment ideas is the “Find It” food hunt.

Here’s how to do it:
🍗 Start with your cat’s normal kibble or a few high-value treats
🏠 Scatter a small handful in easy-to-find spots around one room
👃 Let your cat “hunt” — sniffing, pawing, and exploring is the goal
🔁 As they get good at it, make it slightly harder (behind chair legs, under light blankets, or in cardboard boxes)

Why it works:
🐾 It taps into natural hunting instincts
🧠 Provides mental stimulation (which helps reduce boredom behaviors like nighttime zoomies or attention-seeking meowing)
💛 Builds confidence in shy or indoor-only cats

Bonus level: use mealtime for this instead of a bowl — suddenly dinner becomes a 5-minute enrichment session instead of a 30-second snack 😺

Short, simple, and wildly effective enrichment for indoor cats!

Rosalee, a 16-month-old German Shepherd, knows the rehab routine very well… and apparently the most important part is collecting reception desk snacks before getting started 🍪🐾 She was very expectantly hopping up on the counter making sure nobody forgot payment in treats prior to her rehab session! Smart, athletic, and highly motivated by snacks — exactly how we like them.

Dante, a 12-week-old Golden Retriever, came in for his very first vet visit today 🐾💛 and made it very clear that his primary goals were snuggles, snacks, and making friends with every technician in sight.

First visits are all about building confidence and positive associations — lots of gentle handling, treats, and letting puppies explore the clinic at their own pace. Dante took full advantage of the “social butterfly” portion of the appointment and soaked up plenty of love from his technician team in between vaccines and his exam.

We can’t wait to watch this little guy grow! 🐶✨
