‼️ATTN CLIENTS- FREE RABIES CLINIC‼️
Erie County will host two free rabies vaccine clinics in September, inviting pet owners to take advantage of this public health service to protect dogs, cats and ferrets from this 100% fatal disease.

✅Saturday, September 12, 2026, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Erie County Training and Emergency Operations Center
3359 Broadway, Cheektowaga

✅Saturday, September 19, 2026, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Town of Hamburg Highway Garage
2720 Lakeview Road, Hamburg

✅Registration for these drive-through sites is available at erie.gov/rabiesvaccine and appointments are required. Up to three pets will be accepted per appointment. Individuals who are unable to access online registration may call (716) 961-6800 during business hours to schedule an appointment.

✅Dogs, cats and ferrets three months of age and older are eligible for a vaccination. Pet owners are asked to bring proof of their pet’s vaccination with them to the event in order to receive a three-year vaccination certificate; otherwise, a one-year certificate will be given.

✅Dogs must be secured with a collar & leash or restrained in a carrier; cats and ferrets must be restrained in a secure carrier. Please do not use retractable or extended leashes.

SPCA Serving Erie County, Niagara Frontier Veterinary Society, Trocaire Veterinary Technology Program and the Erie County Medical Reserve Corps provide volunteers that make these clinics run quickly and smoothly.

That’s a big ole happy smile you got there Tweeters after undergoing a dental with Dr. Stachnik☺️ Happy to hear she’s doing great💛

Our sweet little Tweeters showing off her a very animated, gummy smile. She had an extensive dental a couple weeks ago and is all healed up and feeling great!!
Tweeters is very timid and shy after life in an Amish puppy mill and despite being with us for years, she’s still very shy so I LOVE to see this big beautiful smile. She was out and about yesterday, surrounded by her friends, who like her had muddy paws. It was a good day in her book.

This beautiful tabby is 4 year old Ruthie who came in for her annual exam with Dr. Stachnik☺️💛🤎 She also wants to remind cat parents that September is Happy Cat Month🐱🤗🐱

🐱 The month of September we want to bring awareness about the health, welfare, and importance of companion cats. There's a misconception that cats are incredibly self-reliant, and just don't need the kind of care you find with dogs. The truth is that cats are incredibly social animals, and they require the same level of care and attention that we lavish on our dogs. Remember cats need annual exams and visits with their Veterinarian just like dogs. Cats are masters at hiding pain so it is important to schedule a yearly exam with us. Happy Cat Month is also a great opportunity to take some time pouring over what you're feeding your cat and making sure the ingredients are wholesome and not just filler, and then spending some quality time with your furry friend.
Remember, cats love to play and love human attention as much as any pet, so spend Happy Cat Month building a new relationship and new habits with our feline friends💛🐱💛
