🚨URGENT RESCUE UPDATE 🚨

Heartbroken and overwhelmed doesn't even begin to cover it. These two sweet girls were dumped yesterday in Amherst. They are now safe at the rescue.

Incredibly, this is the SECOND set of dumped piggies we’ve taken in in less than 12 hours!

Right now, our resources are stretched thin as we scramble to set up enclosures, feed, and care for these unexpected arrivals.

If you are in a position to help us stock up, we are currently in urgent need of:

Timothy Hay
Chewable bowls for enrichment
Cage cleaning spray
Paper bedding
Vinegar for cleaning
Monetary donations to help cover unexpected care costs

Let’s talk fur.. specifically matts and sanitary shaves in our feline friends🐱
Did you know that some kitties need a little extra help keeping their bottoms clean? A sanitary shave is a small trim of the fur around a cat’s rear end and sometimes the inner thighs to help prevent p**p, urine, and litter from getting trapped in their fur.

Which cats may benefit?
🐱 Long-haired cats who are prone to messy bottoms
🐱 Senior kitties who have trouble grooming themselves
🐱 Overweight cats who can’t easily reach certain areas
🐱 Cats who frequently get f***s or litter caught in their fur.

A little reminder: A sanitary shave should be done carefully because cats have very delicate skin. Please leave the trimming to an experienced groomer or veterinary professional, especially if your cat has mats close to the skin!
