Some dogs are wired to value the environment more than you.

So when they “don’t listen”…
they’re just choosing something else.

The goal isn’t control—
it’s becoming the better option.

This is where it starts.
Before obedience.
Before reliability.

Before working through things like reactivity—where fear or arousal can override everything.

We build value.
We build engagement.

Link (11 months) is in adolescence—
a stage where the world is everything.
Avi (7 years) is what that work builds over time.

This didn’t happen overnight.

This is the process.

Monty and Zed went home after a great weekend with us here.

They put in a lot of work, so we wrapped things up with a short handoff lesson for mom to show her what’s possible moving forward.

No content…

Because we were busy doing the important part—owner education.

And the cool thing?

The dogs didn’t need a camera. They just showed up.

Monty’s in that refresher and refinement stage—he’s looking really good.
Zed’s just getting started, and already giving us so much to build on.

We’ve got a plan moving forward, including virtual sessions since they live a few hours away… and I’m honestly just really excited about these two.

Mom is lovely and so inspired—it’s always special getting to take an already good path and help turn it into a great one.

This right here—this is why I do what I do. 🐾

Choosing connection—even when nothing is being asked for perfectly.
That’s what holds up in real life.
