Hi everyone, I am a strong advocate for spay and neuter due to circumstances such as this one. A litter of pups rejected by their mother only 3 or 4 days after being born. The mother ate two of her pups either due to stress or some other factor we can't understand. Now 8 pups are left without a mother to care for them. Luckily there are people who are willing to step up and help. I am currently caring for these pups. Cactus Ranch Rescue ❤️ took in two of the pups (if you can please donate to their rescue!

There are now 6 pups still looking for a rescue. The owner (a family member of mine) of the mother/pups wants to keep two of the pups. I will try my best to change their mind.

The mother of the pups will be spayed.

There are moments in life when love is steady—but resources are not.

We’ve been hearing from more families lately who are facing impossible choices. People who have always made it work are now quietly asking:

“If I can’t feed myself, how do I keep feeding my best friend?”

Since 2008, the Friends For Life Free Pet Food Bank has given out over 75 tons of pet food—all so that people never have to surrender their animals simply because of hard times. Because the love we share with our pets isn’t a luxury. It’s connection. It’s safety. It’s home.

With recent cuts to SNAP benefits, more of our neighbors are finding themselves stretched beyond what’s bearable. They’re doing everything they can. And still, the bowl is empty.

No one should have to choose between feeding their family and keeping the companion who is part of their family.

If you are struggling right now:
There is a place for you here.
No shame. No paperwork gauntlet. No proving you’re “deserving.”
Just community. Just care. Just enough to help you stay together.

If you are someone who will not feel the SNAP cuts, this is your chance to be the reason a family stays whole.

A bag of kibble. A monthly donation. A share of this post.
It may feel small. To someone else, it’s everything.

Love holds.

Community lifts.

We take care of each other.
